<br /> Sycamore Street, said she has a picture window from which one can see only cans and
<br /> barrels since the advent of the car lot and objected to the Variance. Harry Ol~0n,
<br /> 1230 So. Sycamore Street, objected to the granting of this Variance as it would
<br /> depreciate the value of his property, but would not object to another type of busi-
<br /> ness. Harold H. Porter said he has lived at 1214 So. Sycamore Street for the past
<br /> 17 years and at one time was refused a permit for a very few feet in front of his
<br /> house, and permitting a used car lot in this block automatically rezones this resi-
<br /> dential district. Councilman Gould returned to the meeting at 9:05 P.M. The
<br /> Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br /> Councilman Brewer, seconded by Hubbard and carried,the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 60-117 granting Variance Application No. 1330
<br /> filed by Arthur M. Blanding where Planning Commission recom-
<br /> mended denial"
<br />
<br /> was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br /> Communication was again presented from the Planning Commission recommending denial
<br /> of V~riance Application No. 1321, filed by Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Wesley Smith, to
<br /> expand professional office, build additional driveway entrance, and utilize the
<br /> front portion of lot for parking, on property at ll2-11h East Berkeley Street, in
<br />
<br /> R-2 District. Curtis S. Burrow, 316 So. Main Street, on behalf of the applicant,
<br /> stated this property has a parking area at the rear which is paved, and as the loca-
<br /> tion is an expanding business area, there are adequate parking facilities nearby.

<br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br /> Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Resolution entitled:
