<br /> Request of the Garden Grove Elementary School District for approval of an
<br />elementary school site on property located on Jackson Street north of Sugar Avenue.
<br />
<br />Communication was read from the Planning Department recommending approval of Revised
<br />
<br />Tentative Tract Map No. 3652, filed by A. Adams Morris, creating 52 s~ngle-family
<br />
<br />lots located at the southeast corner of Sugar Avenue and Verano Street, subject to
<br />
<br />conditions. Herb Phillips, Action Engineering Compan~ 11501 Brookhurst Avenue,
<br />
<br />Garden Grove, representing the applicant, stated the conditions were satisfactory
<br />
<br />except Condition (c) regarding the drainage run-off study over a ten-year period
<br />
<br />for the entire area. On motion of Councilman Heinly and seconded by Hubbard, Revised
<br />
<br />Tentative Tract Map No. 3652 was approved, subject to conditions. Councilman Heinly
<br />
<br />withdrew his motion with the consent of the second. Mr. Phillips requested postpone-
<br />ment of the matter to further discuss the drainage requirement with the applicant,
<br />
<br />and on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the matter
<br />was continued until the next meeting°
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Map of Tract No.
<br />
<br />3679, filed by Henry C. Cox, for the dedication of Delhi Road, Raitt Street, Ray
<br />
<br />Circle, Flora Street, wood Street, Hall Avenue, Artesia Street, Central Avenue and
<br />
<br />Douglas Street for public use for street purposes; also easements as shown on map
<br />
<br />for the uses described thereon; also dedicate all vehicular access rights to Delhi
<br />
<br />Road and Raitt Street, except street intersections, and bond in the sum of
<br />
<br />$141,500.00 were approved; license fee in the sum of $5,600.00 accepted, and agree-
<br />
<br />ment covering improvements ordered signed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, proper officials were
<br />authorized to execute the following lease and agreement:
<br />
<br /> Lease with the County dated June 20, 1960, for rental of the Newhope Fire
<br />Station, Project 819, located on Figueroa Street, west of the Santa Ana River, and
<br />
<br /> Agreement with the County dated June 20, 1960, to perform soil tests, material
<br />control and recommendations for pavement design for the City during the fiscal year
<br />1960-61.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, that escrow
<br />
<br />instructions be approved and signed for certain properties and with the following
<br />
<br />persons:

<br /> Escrow Instructions dated June 9, 1960, with Robert E. and Angeline Snelgrove,
<br />for property on the west side of Garnsey Street, the sixth lot north of Sixth Street,
<br />and is known and numbered as 622-624 and 626 North Garnsey Street, in the sum of
<br />$24,500.O0,
<br />
<br /> Escrow Instructions dated June 2, 1960, with Walter L. and Ruth T. Lindauer,
<br />for two parcels of land located on the northwest corner of Fifth and King Streets,
<br />in the sum of $21, 500.00,
<br />
<br /> Escrow Instructions dated June 14, 1960, with Bertha E. Heinrichs, for property
<br />on the east side of Garnsey Street, south of Eighth Street, in the sum of $10,450.00,
<br />
<br /> Escrow Instructions dated June 9, 1960, with Charles and Bertha Taylor and
<br />Lester Taylor, for property on the west side of Parton Street, south of Eighth Street,
<br />in the sum of $13,625.00, and
<br />
<br /> Escrow Instructions dated June 14, 1960, with Nugent leGrand and Mary May Coman,
<br />for property located on the west side of Parton Street, south of Eighth Street, in
<br />the sum of $22,645.00, and amendment instructions dated June 16, 1960, correcting
<br />legal description in original instructions.
