Orange Cotunty Law <br />Building property, orally requested consideration of Variance Application No. 12hO, <br />continued for a period of six months at meeting of February l, 1960, insofar as it <br />pertains to the extension of an existing law and accounting office building at <br />812-815 No. Birch Street. ~ttorney Dahl stated it now appears they will not be <br />to acquire the property to the west, and asked that the Variance be granted to con- <br />struct the building ~5 feet from the existing north edge of the building. He <br />their present building is located h5 feet back, in accordance with setback require- <br />merits, and by attaching to the building~ five or six more parking places will be <br />provided; it will be a two-story structure and a small basement. It was moved by <br />Councilman Gould and seconded by Hubbard that the Variance be granted, subject to <br />conditions, except the dedication of the fifty feet. Motion not voted on. It WRS <br />moved by CounciLman Heinly, seconded bY Gould and carried, that the matter be <br />tabled for five minutes. Attorney Dahl requested continuation of the matter. It <br />was moved by Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carrie.d, that the matter be <br />taken off the table and continued to the meeting of October 3, 1960. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Hel nly and carried, the following Pre- <br />liminary Record of Survey Maps and Tentative Tract Maps were approved: <br /> <br /> Preliminary Record of Survey No. 173, filed by Garden Grove Hospital, creating <br />two parcels located 660 feet north of 17th Street, on the east side of Berrydale <br />Street, approved by City Council on August l, 1960, subject to certain conditions; <br />and approving recc~mmendation of Planning Department to modify condition (b) chang- <br />ing required dedication from 59 to 52 feet; <br /> <br /> Preliminary Record of Survey No. 179, filed by Edward ~. Hall, creating three <br />parcels located between Edinger Street and Occidental Street ou the west side of <br />Standard Avenue~ subject to conditions; <br /> <br /> Revised Tentative Tract Map No. 3915, filed by McFadden Homes, creating 401 <br />lots located at the northwest corner of Fair,Jew Street and McFadden ~venue, con- <br />sisting of approximately 86 acres, subject to conditions; and <br /> <br /> Tentative Tract Map No. 3943, filed by R. A. Karos and K. W. Whiteland, creat- <br />ing 2h lots located west of Santiago Street and south of Santa Clara ~venue, con- <br />sisting of approximately 5-5 acres, subject to conSitions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gould, seconded by Heinly and carried~ Map of Tract No. <br />3833, filed by Fir Ridge, Inc., for dedication of Trask Avenue, Cotter Street~ <br />L~ird Street, Spinnaker Street, Jetty Street, and ~valon ~venue, for public use for <br />highway purposes, and bond in the sum of $87,000.00 were approved; license fee in <br />the sum of Sh,hO0.O0 accepted~ and agreement covering improvements ordered signed. <br />Communication ~s presented from the Planning Department recommending approval of <br />Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 180~ filed by ~. F. Croddy, creating four <br />parcels located on the southeast corner of McClay and First Streets, subject to <br />conditions. Clarence Walton, 1311 Deborah Drive, Tustin~ representing the <br />stated the conditions imposed were satisfactory~ with exception of condition (c) <br />that McClay Street be improved east of the center line~ and requested that this <br />improvement be postponed until the corner parcel is ~nproved. It was moved by <br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried~ that Preliminary Record of <br /> <br />Map No. 180 be approved~ subject to all of the conditions~ with exception of con- <br />dition (c), and that condition (c) be imposed as follows: McClay Street be <br />east of center line prior to issuance of a Building per~it and/or Utility Permit <br />on the westernmost lot, and agreement be entered into between the applicant ~nd the <br />City. <br /> <br /> <br />
