<br /> bid of Westinghouse Electric Supply Company was accepted at the unit prices and

<br /> in the total amount of $3,1~2.98, and all other bids rejected.

<br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the
<br />
<br /> award for the ihzrnishing and delivering of one Wheel-type Trenching Machine,
<br /> Specification No. 62S-lB, was postponed until November 7, 1960.
<br />
<br /> This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of
<br /> approximately 19.22 acres, located on the north side of Memory Lane, on both sides
<br /> of Bristol Street; Mr. W. J. Richardson, 1~272 La Veta, Orange, orally requested
<br /> information concerning the proposed annexation which would include considerable
<br /> acreage of the family property on the east side of Bristol Street, and stated that
<br /> although he had received a notice of the proceedings, he was not consulted about
<br /> the matter and desired to know if the present C-1 zone, and the C-2 zone for the
<br /> approaches, w~ld remain the same. The Mayor suggested that Mr. Richardson further
<br /> discuss the matter with the Planning Department. The hearing was closed. On motio~
<br /> of Counci~m~u Gould, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance en-
<br /> titled:

<br /> "Ordinance declaring the annexatic~ of that certain territory
<br /> designated 'Bristol and Memory Lane N. Annex'"
<br />
<br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br /> This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. S23, filed by
<br /> Elbert C. Missildine, amending Sectional District Map 2~-5-10, Exhibit 323-A, to
<br /> reclassify from R-1 and R-2 Districts to C-2 District property described as 36 lots~
<br /> including the east side of Broadway, 480 feet south of the center line of Edinger
<br /> Street, the south side of Edinger Street between Broadway and Sycamore Street, and
<br /> the west side of Sycamore Street 480 feet south of the center line of Edinger Street;
<br /> on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, the hearing was
<br /> continued to November 7, 1960.

<br /> Mayor Hall left the Chair. Councilman Gould assumed the Chair. This being the
<br /> date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 327, filed by L. A. Nelson, et al~
<br /> amending Sectional District Map 4-5-9, Exhibit 327-A, to reclassify from R-1 Dis-
<br /> trict of the County of Orange, to the C-1 and R-3 Districts of the City of Santa
<br /> Ana, property described as that area 660 feet south of Santa Clara Avenue, having
<br /> 660 feet of frontage on the east side of Tustin Avenue, and being approximately
<br />
<br /> 991 feet deep; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motion of
<br /> CounciLman Hubbard and seconded by Hall, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ama Municipal Code
<br /> to establish district classification on Amendment Application
<br /> No. ~27 and to establish Sectional District Map 4-5-9
<br /> (Exhibit ~27-A)"
<br />
<br /> following Planning Cc~mis~ion's recommendation on the westerly 3~0 feet of said
<br /> property along Tustin Avenue, the C-1 classification, but disagreeing with the
<br /> Planning Commission recommendation on the easterly 651 feet of said property, re-
<br /> sulting in a chaB~e of said easterly portion to an R-3 District, was introduced,
<br /> considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
