<br />59.68% of the area signed the petition for an Assessment District N°. 209, but
<br />
<br />the validity of the signatures is unknown, in the area from the west line of
<br />
<br />Rosita Street to the east line of Verano Street, and to formally accept Sixth
<br />
<br />Street as shown on Tract Map No. 1078 as dedicated right-of-way for street purpose~
<br />for public use. On motion of Co~mcilman Hubbard, seconaed by Brewer and carried,
<br />the petition was referred to the Department of Public Works to verify the validityii
<br />of the signatures, with instructions to notify the first signer on the petition tha~

<br />a storm drain along Fairview Street, between Edinger Street and McFadden Avenue,

<br />Agent was authorized to advertise for bids on: (a) One, two-ton Truck Chassis
<br />with Cab; (b) Three, one-ton Truck Chassis with Cab, Specification No. 621-29;
<br />and (c) One Hydraulic-powered Crane, Specification 623-15; bids to be opened
<br />December 19, 1960.

<br />mendation of the Manager, dated December l, 1960, ~s approved for salary step
