Karos, et al <br /> <br />the proposed abandonment of an old unopened street easement which the Public Works <br />has requested the Council to vacate and mband~n because of a change in the align- <br />ment of McFadden Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Council,~u Hubbard seconded by Gould and carried, the Resolution adopted <br /> <br />by the Planning Commission was received and filed,advising it is their intention <br />hold a hearing on December 27, in order to prezone all property within the "Fair- <br /> <br />haven and Esplanade West Annex" and the "Vanderlip and Newport Northwest ~nnex." <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Tentative Tract <br /> <br />Map No. 4040, filed by Southern Construction Company, creating 20 lots located <br /> <br />west of the intersection of Washington Avenue and King Street and 12th and King <br /> <br />Streets, was approved, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Council,mn Hubbard, seconded by Gould and carried, Map of Tract No. <br /> <br />3943, filed by Ronald A. and Burdette M. Karos, and Kenneth W. and Mildred E. White~ <br />land, for dedication of Santiago Street, Buffalo Avenue, Poinsettia Street and <br />Valencia Avenue, for l:~blic use for highway pul~oses and bond in the sum of $27,000!i00 <br />were approved; license fee in the amount of $1,200.00 accepted, and agreement cover~ <br /> <br />Preliminary Record <br />of Survey Map No.195 <br />Joe L. Serna, creating three <br /> <br />lots located on the north side of Sugar Avenue and approximately 660 feet west of <br /> <br />Newhope Street. Mr. D. Canady, 1~851 Adams Street, Midway City, representing the <br /> <br />applicant, objected to the disallowing of approaches on Sugar Avenue and requested <br />resubmission of a map outlining his suggestions reference proposed access to the <br /> <br />[Preliminary Record <br />lof Survey Map No.197 <br />T. J. Waggy, creating two lots <br />located l~OO feet north of Sugar Avenue on the west side of Newhope Street. Mr. <br /> <br />Daniel Cohen, 13302 Beach Boulevard, Huntington Beach, representing the applicant, <br /> <br />objected to the access limitations, the requirement of the alley, and the cul-de-sa <br /> <br />on the northerly side of the property. Steinen <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, that action on <br />Prel~mtuary Record of Survey Map No. 197, be continued to January B, 1961. <br />Communication was presented from the Planni~ Department recommending approval of <br />Revised Tentative Tract Map No. 4034, filed by ~. F. Steinen, creating 51 lots <br />located on the south side of Willlts Street, between Sullivan and Fairview Streets, I <br /> <br />subject to conditions. Virgil Paxton, 513 So. Sullivan Street, stated his property <br />faces Sullivan Street and requested that a fence be erected along said street. <br /> <br />Bert Hoffman, 1206 So. Birch Street, stated his grove is to the south of the pro- <br /> <br />posed development, and inquired if a fence could be built to protect his orange <br /> <br />grove. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Revised <br /> <br />Tentative Tract Map No. 4034 was approved, subject to all conditions, and the further <br /> <br /> ~evised Tentative <br /> Map No.3902 <br />Frank C.Latham, et <br /> <br />condition that a six-foot fence be constructed on the south end of the property lin~. <br />C~unication was again presented from the Planfling Department with Recommendationsil <br />of Approval Tract No. B902 for Maps "B" and "C", filed by Frank C. and Nelda U. <br /> <br />Latham, creating 91 lots located on the south side of Santa Clara Avenue, approxi- i <br />mmately 1,161 feet west of Tustin Avenue, subject to conditions.
