Annex" <br /> <br /> ~his being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 346, initiated By <br /> the Planning Commission, amending Sectional District Map 4-5-9 (Exhibit AA 346 A), <br /> to reclassify frc~ the A-1 District to the C-1 District, property located on and <br /> surrounding the triangle of land formed by Seventeenth Street, Old Tustin and <br /> Avenues~ no protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motion of <br /> man Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code <br /> to change district classification on ~mendment Application No. <br /> 3~6 and amending Sectional District Map 4-5-9 (Exhibit <br /> AA 3~ A)" <br /> <br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 347, filed by the <br /> Santa Ana Board of Realtors, amending Sectional District Map 7-5-9 (Exhibit AA 347 <br /> to reclassify fr~n the R-~l and R-2 Districts to the C-5 District~ property located <br /> on the west side of Grand Avenue, between Fourteenth and Seventeenth Streets, for <br /> one lot, 66 feet wide, 680 feet south of Seventeenth Street, and including a rezon- <br /> lng proposal initiated by the Planning Cc~mission for four lots, each 66 feet wide <br /> beginning at a point 490 feet south of the center line of Seventeenth Street and <br /> continuing 264 feet south; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Ordi <br /> nance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br /> to change district classification on Amendment Application No. <br /> 3~7 and amending Sectional District Map 7-5-9 (Exhibit AA <br /> 3~7 B)" <br /> <br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing to vacate that portion of Delhi Road outside <br /> of the new alignment of Delhi Road (now Warner Avenue)~ no protests were received <br /> and the hearing was closed. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of <br /> the Resolution, on motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, <br /> the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-70 ordering vacation of a portion of <br /> Delhi Road outside th e new alignment, now Warner <br /> <br /> was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Stanley C. Gould, Jr., <br /> Dale H. Heinly, Bob Brewer, A. A. Hall <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br /> Appeal Application No. 15 of Mrs. Vera Stone was presented on Variance Application <br /> No. 145~, to construct an additional single-family dwelling on an R-1 lot, on <br /> property at 1137 West Pine Street, in the R-1 District, wherein the Zoning Adminis~ <br /> trator recon~nended denial. Milton Spaulding, Romar Builders, 2432 Newport <br /> <br />Costa Mesa, representing the applicant, stated the property is adjoined on the west <br />and at the rear by R-2 residences, and the additional dwelling would provide income <br />to the applicant. On motion of Councilman Helnly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved, and Appeal Application <br />No. 15, filed by Mrs. Vera Stone on Variance Application No. ~54, denied. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, the communication <br /> from the Planning Commission was received and filed, recommending approval of pro- <br /> posed annexation to the City of territory designated "Edinger and Raitt S. E. Annex' <br /> consisting of 9.97 acres, located at the southeast corner of Edinger and Raitt <br /> Streets. <br /> <br /> <br />
