RES. NO. 87-91 <br /> <br />413 <br /> <br />9. Public. Services and Utilities/Sewer. <br /> <br /> A. Significant Effect. The Project will require the <br />extension of sewer facilities and will place additional burdens <br />on sewer treatment plants by daily generating an estimated <br />320,000 gallons of sewage. <br /> <br />B. Findings. <br /> <br /> (1) Changes or alterations have been required in, <br />or incorporated into, the Project which avoid or <br />substantially lessen the significant environmental effects as <br />identified in the EIR. <br /> <br /> (2) Ot~er changes or alterations are within the <br />responsibility and jurisdiction of the Orange County <br />Sanitation District ("OCSD"). Such changes have been adopted <br />by OCSD or can and should be adopted by OCSD. <br /> <br /> C. Facts in Support of Finding. The following <br />mitigation measures are set forth in the EIR: <br /> <br /> (1) The Project's developers shall be required to <br />pay OCSD sewer connection fee of $50 per 1,000 square feet of <br />building space, OCSD front footage fee of $40 per lineal foot <br />of street, and City fixture unit fee of $24 per water closet <br />fixture. <br /> <br /> (2) OCSD shall provide facilities to adequately <br />convey project generated sewage. Although OCSD sewer <br />treatment facilities currently operate in excess of capacity, <br />OCSD estimates that its treatment facilities, expanded as <br />planned, shall be adequate to handle the Project generated <br />sewage. <br /> <br />10. Public Services and Utilities/Parks and Recreation. <br /> <br /> A. Significant Effect. Based on the City of Santa <br />Ana's current standards, the Project will generate an additional <br />demand for 1.9 acres of parkland. <br /> <br /> B. Finding. Changes or alterations have been require~ <br />in, or incorporated into, the Project which avoid or <br />substantially lessen the significant environmental effects as <br />identified in the EIR. <br /> <br /> C. Facts in Support of Finding.
