KESOLUTION NO. 88 - 37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 87-95 TO DELETE, ADD AND CHANGE <br />SEVERAL CLASS TITLES AND ADJUST SALARY LEVELS OF CERTAIN <br />CLASSES CONTAINED IN THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION <br />PLAN FOR UNREPRESENTED MANAGI~ I~IPLOYEES. <br /> <br /> WHERFAS, on December 21, 1987 the City Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 87-95, re-establishing the Classification and Compensation Plan <br />for classes of employment designated as unrepresented executive and middle- <br />management; and <br /> <br /> ~, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of <br />Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a <br />position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and <br />regulations and the approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal Year <br />1988-89, the City Council authorized certain organizational and staffing <br />changes which affect several class titles in the Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for unrepresented management classes of employment contained <br />in Resolution No. 87-95; and <br /> <br /> WHERFAS, the changing needs and priorities of City departments also <br />dictate certain changes in said plan; <br /> <br /> WHERFAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolution to delete, add <br />and change several class titles affected by said organizational and staffing <br />changes. <br /> <br /> NOW, TH~0RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~ CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3A of Resolution No. 87-95 pertaining to Executive <br />Management classes of employment, is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Decreasing the salary level assigned to the class Executive <br />Director of Human Resources (150 from M-51 to M-50, $4982 to $5925 (minimum to <br />maximum hiring rates). <br /> <br /> b. Increasing the salary level assigned to the class of Library <br />Director (15{) from M-28 to M-50. <br /> <br /> 2. That Section 3B of Resolution No. 87-95 pertaining to <br />Middle-Management classes of employment is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
