<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the lowest and best
<br />bid of American Asphalt Paving Company was accepted, in the total amount of
<br />$8,669.00, and all other bids rejected.
<br />
<br />This being the date set for hearing on proposed amendments to The Zoning Ordinance
<br />of 1960; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motion Of Coun-
<br />cilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Ordinance entitled~
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance amending, adding or repealing portions of Parts l,
<br /> 3, 4, 5 & 6 of Chapter 2, Article IX of the Santa Ana
<br /> Municipal Code dealing with land use regulations"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />This being the date set for hearin~ on the annexation of property consisting of
<br />9.97 acres, located at the southeast corner of Edinger Averme and Raitt Street; the
<br />Mayor asked the Assistant Clerk of the Council if she had received any written pro-
<br />tests, and s h e replied no written protests had been received. The Mayor asked if
<br />any one present desired to be heard in said matter. No one present desired to be
<br />heard, and the hearing was closed. On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by
<br />Brewer and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Ordinance declaring the annexation of territory designated
<br /> ' Edinger and Raitt S. E. Annex '"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />Cumm~nication was presented fram Charles Schneider, Realtor, stating he is owner
<br />of three parcels in the area to be annexed (13542 through 13572 Edinger Avenue),
<br />and requesting that an east-west street (Pomona) be proposed at the south end of
<br />this property, thereby allowing for the development of the rear of these parcels.
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the communication
<br />was received and filed.
<br />
<br />This being the date set for hearing to vacate a portion of Fairview Street north of
<br />McFadden Avenue; no protests were received and the hearing was closed. The Council
<br />having unanimously waived the reading of th~ Resolution, on motion of Councilman
<br />Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 61-136 ordering vacation of a portion of
<br /> Fairview Street north of McFadden Avenue"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the communication
<br />fram the planning Commission was received and filed, recc~mnending approval of pro-
<br />posed annexation to the City of territory designated "Grand Avenue West and Santa
<br />Clara Northeast Annex," consisting of approximately 10.10 acres, located on the
<br />north side of Santa Clara Avenue, between East and West Grand Agenues.
