RESOLUTION NO. 90-063 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND 89-087 TO ADD AND DELETE <br />CERTAIN CLASS TITLES AND EFFECT OTHER CHANGES TO THE CITY'S <br />BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLANS FOR OFFICERS AND <br />EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Ana requires the city Manager to prepare, install <br />and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to <br />civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the city <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the city Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the <br />Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for officers and <br />employees of the city of Santa Ana; and on September 5, 1989 passed <br />and adopted Resolution No. 89-087 re-establishing the Compensation <br />Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented <br />Executive and Middle Management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said <br />Resolutions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal <br />Year 1990-91, the city Council authorized certain organizational <br />and staffing changes which affect several class titles in the <br />City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of <br />employment contained in Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 89-087; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend said Resolutions to <br />delete, add and change several class titles, and effect certain <br />other changes to said classification and compensation plans. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 3B of Resolution No. 89-087, as amended, is <br />hereby further amended by: <br /> <br />a. deleting the following class titles: <br /> <br />Assistant Planning Manager (MM) <br />Construction Services Manager (MM) <br />Grants Coordinator (MM) <br /> <br /> b. adding in proper alphabetical sequence, the new <br />class title of Transportation Manager (MM) at Salary Rate Range No. <br />M-25, $4905 (minimum) to $5831 (maximum hiring rate) per month. <br /> <br /> c. changing <br />Operations Engineer (MM) <br />salary rate range. <br /> <br />the existing class title of Traffic <br />to Traffic Engineer (MM) at no change in <br /> <br /> d. changing the existing class title of Fleet Services <br />Manager (MM) to Corporate Yard Facilities/Fleet Services Manager <br />(MM) and providing an internal equity adjustment by increasing the <br />pay level assigned to this class from Salary Rate Range No. M-22 <br />to M-26, $5028 (minimum) to $5977 (maximum hiring rate) per month. <br /> <br />177 <br /> <br /> <br />
