<br />Hubbard and carried, the c~mm~nication was received and filed. Mrs. W. V. Tread-
<br />well, 2019 Victoria Drive and Dcm Franklin, 1617 E. 15th Street, requested action
<br />
<br />on the matter be tabled until the report of the Planning Department on multi-
<br />
<br />story structures is studied. Mr. H. H. Reisman, 1608 No. Spurgeon Street, stated
<br />
<br />that when he purchased the property it was zoned for professional use, the plans
<br />
<br />were approved by the Planning Commission, and requested that the Variance be grant.
<br />

<br />made for parking for the proposed building, and her questions were satisfactorily

<br />answered by the Planning Director. Mrs. B. E. Lindley, 2024 Victoria Drive, and
<br />
<br />Mr. A. A. Famalaro, 2322 So. Ramona Drive, stated the area is being rezoned out of
<br />
<br />an attractive residential environment, and a four-story building would only be the
<br />
<br />start for other tall buildings. The Council having unanimously waived the reading
<br />
<br />of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and car-
<br />
<br />ried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 61-179 granting Variance on Application No.
<br />1501 of Thyra M. Swales, where one recc~mended condition
<br />was deleted"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />On motion of Councilmau Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, proper officials
<br />
<br />were authorized to execute the following agreements:
<br />
<br /> With Powell Neon Sign Company, J. Byron Burton and Harry P. Jackson, dated
<br />July 5, 1961, to construct an electric sign in front of 618 North MAin Street,
<br />which extends over and upon the established setback line,
<br />
<br /> With the County, dated July 17, 1961, covering premises described as Room 211
<br />and a portion of Roc~ 210 at ll04 W. Eighth Street, occupied by the County ^gri-
<br />cultural Co~issioner, and said Lease as extended December l, 1959 be terminated
<br />effective July l, 1961; and
<br />
<br /> With the County, dated July 17, 1961, covering certain roems at 1104 W. Eighth
<br />Street and the building described as the Audio-Visual Building be deleted from the
<br />leased premises, effective July l, 1961, and the rental be reduced by the amount o~
<br />$176.00 per month.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, Map of Tract No.
<br />
<br />4178, filed by Tricon Develolmment, Inc., for the dedication as public highways:
<br />
<br />Sugar Avenue, Highland Street, Kedge Avenue, Maxine Street and Deming Street, and
<br />
<br />dedicate all vehicular access rights to Sugar Avenue, except street intersection,
<br />was approved, subject to the submission of a bond in the sum of $49,000.00, subJec~i
<br />to the approval of the Attorney as to form; license fee in the sum of $2,250.00
<br />
<br />accepted, and agreement covering improvements ordered signed.
