Facts in Support of Findings

407

The significant effect has been substantially lessened to the extent feasible by virtue of the design
considerations and the mitigation measure identified in the Final EIR and incorporated into the
project. This measure is as follows:

Prior to building permit issuance, site plans shall be reviewed by the City of Santa
Aha Public Works Department to verify that adequate space is provided onsite
for recycling receptacles.

SIGNIFICANT ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS WlllCII CANNOT lie AVOIDED IF
THE PRO.IECT IS IMPLEMENTED

LAND USE

Development of the proposed project would result in the intensification of the land uses allowed
within the project site under the current general plan and zoning. The indirect result of this will
be increased traffic and air pollution, and increase in demands for affordable housing within
reasonable commuting distances of the site.

Findings

Finding 1: Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which
avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect identified in the
EIR.

Finding 2: Such changes or alterations are within the responsibility or jurisdiction of another public
agency and not the agency making the finding. Such changes have been adopted by
such other agency or can and should be adopted by such other agency

Finding 3: Specific economic, social, or other considerations make infeasible the mitigation
measures or project alternatives identified in the EIR.

JB1/0885001}1 .SOF 19
