<br /> No. 1505, to establish an ambulance service with less than required off-street
<br /> parking, on property at 2227 South Bristol Street, in the C-5 District, wherein
<br /> Applicant appeals the six-months' limitation of the Variance as unrealistic and
<br /> should be granted for five years. Attorney Stanley C. Gould, 325 No. Broadway, re-
<br />
<br /> presenting the applicant stated two ambulance services are located on North Main
<br />
<br /> Street and his client is attempting to establish a service in the south part of the
<br /> City. This property would be conducive to an ambulance service, because all indus-
<br /> try is located in the v~cinity. In order to establish such a service, a period of
<br />
<br /> five years, or even three years, is necessary and Mr. Acker intends to purchase
<br />
<br /> property next to his for a medical supply house. There would be ample parking if a
<br />
<br /> five-foot setback is not required, with sufficient turning radius for one ambulance
<br /> only driving onto the street. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of
<br /> the Resolution, on motian of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the
<br /> following Resolution entitled:

<br />Appeal Application No. 32 of Harry Tancredi Co~apany was presented on Variance Appli
<br />cation No. 1509, to erect a 2~-unit apartment house on property at 806-10-1~ South
<br />Cypress Avenue, in the R-2 District, wherein Applicant appeals denial of Zoning
<br />Administrator, for reasons that 26 Variances were granted on Cypress Avenue, for
<br />R-3~ R-2, C-l, P and PK Districts, and states the City Council instructed the Plan-
<br />ning Department to hold hearings to change zoning to R-3 on Cypress Avenue. Harry
<br />Tancredi, ll06 E. 17th Street, stated each unit would have 1006 square feet, with
<br />sufficient side yards and one covered parking space for each apartment, and enumera
<br />ted Variances granted for multiple units in the area. Mrs. Mabel Ellen Gowman,
<br />2032 No. Main Street, requested a solid fence between her property at 818 So. Cypre;
<br />Avenue and the adjoining proposed property,to which the Applicant agreed. On moti~
<br />of Councilmen Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, Appeal Application No. 32 on
<br />Variance Application No. 1509, was referred back to the Planning Department and the
<br />Applicant for a more Compatible use of the property.

<br />Appeal Applicatic~ No. 33 of Robert Walker was presented on Variance Application No
<br />1511, to build a duplex on property at 5~10 W. 5th Street, in the R-2 District, wit]
<br />four existing dwelling units, wherein Applicant appeals the decision ofthe Zoning
<br />Administrator that the development be according to plot plan B, proposing one addi-
<br />
