Warbler Street, representing <br />applicant, stated that unless a duplex could be constructed the development of the <br />property would not be econc~aically feasible, and adequate parking would be <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Appeal <br /> <br />No. 33 on Variance Application No. 1511 was denied, and the recomnendation of the <br />Planning C~,a~lssion upheld for one additional single family unit, subject to condi- <br />tions imposed thereon. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following <br />Preliminary Record of Survey Maps were approved: <br /> <br /> Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 210, filed by Lawrence C. Kokx, dividing <br />a large parcel of industrial land, located at the northwest corner of McFadden <br />ue and Lyon Street, subject to conditions; and <br /> <br /> Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 211, filed by Alfredo Ledda, dividing a <br />large lot into three residential lots, located on the north side of Roosevelt <br />apprc~imately 565 feet west of Verano Street, subject to conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, Map of Tract No. <br />424~, filed by Montgomery Park, for the dedication of Harbor Boulevard, Kent <br />Crystal Lane, Lehnhardt Avenue, Figueroa Street and Jackson Street for public use <br />for street purposes, and Lot A to be used for water, sewer, and storm drain purpose <br />and water easement as shown, was approved, subject to the submission of a bond in <br />the sum of $90,000.00 and the approval of the Attorney as to form; license fee in <br />the sum of $3,850.00 accepted, and agreement covering improvements ordered signed. <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, proper officials <br />were authorized to execute the following agreements: <br /> <br /> No. UA6105-26 with the County Flood Control District and the City of Garden <br />Grove to relocate two water lines on West Fay Circle and Morningside Avenue, in <br />connection with the construction of the East Garden Grove-Wintersburg Channel fr~n <br />Newhope Street to Haster Retarding Basin, Project C5; <br /> <br /> Permit No. 07061 with the 0ounty Flood Control District, granting permission <br />to Permittee to construct a reinforced concrete b~x inlet and concrete slope prote¢ <br />tion within district's right-of-way of East Garden Grove-Wintersburg Channel at <br />approximately Engineer's Sta. 402+80.95 for the City of Santa Ana's construction <br />C-5-F Channel, in accordance with sheets l, 5 and 6 of the approved plans; and <br /> <br /> With the County, dated August 7, 1961, for Arterial Highway Ftuancing Program <br />for Fairview Street, Talbert to Segerstrc~n Avenues, Project No. 96, where project <br />limits (lines 31 and 32) were improperly stated. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, proper officials <br />were authorized to execute agreement with Santa Ana Neon Company and L. J. and <br />Priscilla E. Holmberg, to construct an electric sign in front of 3331 Bolsa Avenue <br />which extends over and upon the established setback line, subject to <br />of the City Attorney to waive the standard requirements. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded bYHubbard and carried~ proper officials <br />were authorized to execute an agreement with William T. and. Louise M. Reetz, <br />and E. C. ^gnew, dba Santa ~na Neon Company, Tenant, for the Owners to pave a cer- <br />tain portion of Santiago Street, located south of Washington ;~venue, in accordance <br />with City standards, except that the requirement of curbs, gutters and sidewalks be <br />waived until such time as the property fmmediately south of Owners' parcel is im- <br />proved. <br /> <br />It was moved by CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Heinly and carried, that escrow <br />instructions be approved and signed for certain properties and with the following <br />persons: <br /> <br /> <br />
