<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, Map of Tract Noii
<br />k159, filed by Pereus, Inc., for the dedication of Fruit Street, Concord Street,
<br />
<br />Parrie Street and Mabury Street for public use for highway purposes, and the ease-
<br />
<br />ment for drainage as shown, was approved, subject to the submission of bond in
<br />
<br />the sum of $34,000.00 and the approval by the Attorney as to form; license fee in
<br />
<br />the sum of $1,550.00 accepted, and agreement covering improvements ordered signed.
<br />
<br />Comm~uication was presented frcm the Planning Department recommending approval of
<br />
<br />Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 214, filed by Fred Mangold, creating four par-
<br />
<br />cels located at the northeast corner of Wright and Seventeenth Streets, subject to
<br />
<br />conditions. Ernest Boheim stated he was not protesting the applicant's plans, but
<br />
<br />inquired about the future development and termination of Eighteenth Street, in the
<br />
<br />interest of his parcel of property located there. The Planning Director satisfac-
<br />
<br />tori~y answered his questions. On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Schlue~
<br />
<br />ter and carried, Preliminary Record of Survey Map No. 21~ was approved, subject to
<br />
<br />conditions.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, Revised Tentative
<br />
<br />Tract Map No. 4262, filed by Tricon Development Company, creating 1~7 lots located
<br />
<br />660 feet south of Sugar Avenue and on the west side of Verano Street, was approved,
<br />
<br />subject to conditions.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, proper official~
<br />
<br />were authorized to execute the following leases:
<br />
<br /> With Toastmasters International, dated August 21, 1961, wherein rooms 113 and
<br />114 inthe Co~mmmity Center Building, 1104 West Eighth Street, have been vacated, at
<br />a reduced rental of $35.00, effective July 31, 1961, and the total rental of $B58.50
<br />to apply to certain other space,
<br />
<br /> With American National Red ~Cross, dated August 21, 1961, amending lease to in-
<br />clude rocms ll~ and ll4 of the Community Center B~ilding, ll0~ W. Eighth Street,
<br />thereby increasing the rental by $52.50 per month, or a total rental of $~45.00 per
<br />month~ effective August l, 1961,
<br />
<br /> With Novel B. James, dated August 21~ 1961, for certain City property between
<br />Alona Street and the Santa Aha River, south of Santiago Creek for golf course pur-
<br />poses, said lease being for a term of twenty-five years; and
<br />
<br /> With the Santa Ana Chapter, Izaak Walton League of America~ Inc., dated August
<br />21, 1961, for property at the westerly end of Santa Clara Avenue, west of Alona
<br />Street, at the Santa Aha River, for Club purposes) for a term of twenty-five years.

<br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, proper officials
<br />
<br />were authorized to execute the following agreements:
<br />
<br /> With the Junior Chamber of Commerce, dated August 15, 1961, wherein the City
<br />will pay a sum not exceeding ~2,000.00 to cover a portion of the cost of advertisin$
<br />preparing for, holding and conducting the 1961 Santa Annual Frolic,
<br />
<br /> With the City of Garden Grove, dated August 21, 1961, for the installation of
<br />a traffic control signal syste~ and highway lighting to provide for the orderly
<br />movement of traffic at the intersection of Westminster Boulevard with Newhope Stree~
<br />within the City of Santa Ana, and
<br />
<br /> With Powell Neon Sign Co~pany, Bowen Cleaners & La~udry, division of Averill-
<br />Morgan Company, Inc., and Seiko L. Munimitsu, to construct an electric sign in
<br />front of 122B W. 17th Street, which extends over and upon the established setback
<br />line.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Counci~mau Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution enti-
<br />
<br />tled:

<br />"Resolution No. 61-205 accepting deeds where the City is
<br />paying no cash consideration"
<br />
<br />from The Lehnhardt Corporation, c~nveying a non-exclusive easement for water line
<br />
