074 <br /> <br />established to provide direct community input into the planning of the <br />proposed Bristol Street Corridor Redevelopment Project and this <br />project, will address the minorities and small business relocation issues <br />and provide recommendations to the City Council. <br /> <br />Findings <br /> <br />The following measures have been incorporated into the project, <br />which, if properly implemented, will avoid, or substantially lessen, the <br />effects on neighborhood character and minority groups, to an <br />acceptable, though significant level. <br /> <br />Prior to acquisition of right-of-way, the City of Santa Ana will <br />evaluate the desirability of alternative dispositions of all <br />remaining portions of full-take parcels. Where feasible within <br />the development standards of the Zoning Ordinance and in <br />accordance with the City of Santa Ana policy, such areas will <br />be: <br /> <br />ao <br /> <br />assembled for redevelopment; <br />sold to adjoining land owners; or <br />landscaped, thus extending the 'public parkway by <br />varying depths. <br /> <br />Consideration will be given to placing existing overhead utility <br />lines along the street underground as part of the proposed <br />project. <br /> <br />A coordinated theme will be developed for landscaping and <br />improvements within the widened street right-of-way. <br /> <br />All households and businesses that are displaced will receive <br />relocation assistance from the City of Santa Ana, as previously <br />described. Affected minority groups will be relocated to <br />comparable neighborhoods, if so desired, within the City of <br />Santa Ana and surrounding communities. <br /> <br />In conjunction with City staff, the Project Area Committee <br />(PAC) will address various alternatives to keep displaced <br />businesses within the immediate project area. Such alternatives <br />may include establishment of a small shopping mall within the <br />Bristol Street project area. <br /> <br /> <br />
