Should any ua/dendfed substances, odors, <br /> leaking underground 'tanks, or "other <br /> mysterious and potentially hazardous <br /> materials be encountered during project <br /> construction, work in that area will be hated <br /> and the Santa Ama Fire Department's <br /> Hazardous Materials Team will be contacted <br /> to evaluate the materials and to define <br /> appropriate remedial measures. <br /> <br />2. The removal of any underground storage <br /> tanks will be in accordance with all applicable <br /> regu]ation& For any service stations that will <br /> be partially acquired or displaced, the City <br /> will request that the owners remove the <br /> underground gasoline tanks prior to property <br /> acquisition. If the owners do not remove the <br /> underground tanks, the City will inchide the <br /> following statement in the fight-of-way <br /> <br /> "It is understood that the property <br /> being acquired in th/s transaction may <br /> contain hazaxdons waste which must <br /> be removed or otherwise treated, <br /> under state or federal law, to protect <br /> the public health.
