<br />The matter for consideration of whether a criminal complaint should be filed against
<br />the Arrow Laundry and Cleaners, 620 Bast Sixth Street, for carrying on a vibration
<br />nuisance was again presented. Thomas B. Lenhart, 13881 Dall Lane, owner of the
<br />
<br />Laundry, stated he was not fully aware of the extent of complaints against his oper-
<br />ation, and reported the finest machinery had been installed in the Laundry, set in
<br />
<br />fifty to sixty tons of concrete. While the vibration has not been completely dimin~
<br />ished, Mr. Lenhart stated the New York factory responsible for the installation is
<br />
<br />currently attempting to correct the problem. Also, the Laundry is operated daily
<br />
<br />from 7:00 A.M. to 4:BO P.M. only, and on Saturdays from approximately 8:00 A.M. to
<br />
<br />ll:O0 or 12:00 Noon~ and requested thirty days to either correct the situation or
<br />
<br />to remove the machines. George W. Whiddon, 602 E. 6th Street; Cecil Robinson,

<br />613 E. 6th Street; E. H. Croix, 621 E. 5th Street; and Harold Hill, 601 E. 6th
<br />
<br />Street, individually stated there was a heavy vibration from the Laundry at various
<br />
<br />hours~ and requested action to stop the vibration nuisance as it is injurious to
<br />the health and welfare of the residents in the area. Also, there is evidence of dam-
<br />
<br />age~ to several residences and a new apartment building, and the further possibility
<br />
<br />
