<br />presented by Mrs. Louie Boer, 912 North Lowell Street, signed by approximately 857
<br />persons, requesting the Council to obtain full information regarding the cost of

<br />rebuilding the present Bowl and at the same time obtain like information regarding
<br />
<br />the cost of constructing a new Stadium on City-owned property at Segerstrom Avenue

<br />Communication was presented from Allison Honer Company requesting the waive~ of
<br />requirement of sprinklers in the new storage vamlt of the First Federal Savings
<br />and Loan Association, 506 North Broadway, as the room will be used solely for reco~t
<br />and supply storage. Donald Honer, 1073 West 17th Street, representing First Fede~
<br />
<br />Savings and Loan Association, stated the requirement for sprinklers in the new ~
<br />storage vault is covered in Section 3801 of the Uniform Building Code; that Sectio~a
<br />
<br />204 allows for reasonable interpretations of the provisions of the Building Code
<br />
<br />and is the basis for the request for waiver of the requirement for sprinklers. Als
<br />the room will be used solely for record and supply storage and there would be no
<br />public hazard involved. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard that the request be
<br />denied and it will be necessary to conform to the regulations of the Uniform Build~i
<br />
<br />lng Code. Motion lost for lack of a second. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard,
