069 <br /> <br />REL:11/ZS/91 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91- 112 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA RENAMING THE TRANSPOR- <br />TATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS THE ENVI- <br />RONMENTAL AND TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE AND EXPANDING ITS AUTHORITY TO <br />INCLUDE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AS WELL AS <br />TRANSPORTATION ISSUES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, by its Resolution No. 73-149, dated <br />December 10, 1973, established the "Transportation Advisory <br />Committee" to act in an advisory capacity with respect to the <br />transportation plans, policies and programs of the city of Santa <br />Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to expand the scope of <br />authority of the said committee to provide review and recommen- <br />dations regarding environmental matters, such as solid waste, water <br />resources and urban forest issues, in addition to transportation <br />matters; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. That certain committee appointed by the City Council <br />until now entitled the "Transportation Advisory Committee" shall <br />henceforth be entitled the "Environmental and Transportation <br />Advisory Committee." <br /> <br /> 2. The duties of the Environmental and Transportation <br />Advisory Committee shall consist of acting in an advisory capacity <br />to the City Council in the review and development of systems, <br />facilities, plans, policies, priorities and programs related to <br />transportation, solid waste, water resources, urban forest and <br />other environmental issues; receiving input from citizens, <br />businessmen and other groups and interests with the city; and <br />preparing, with the assistance of city staff personnel, <br />recommendations to the city Council for approval and <br />implementation. <br /> <br /> 3. The rules governing membership on the Transportation <br />Advisory Committee and the meetings and procedures of that <br />committee as established by City Council resolutions numbers 73-149 <br />and 88-72 shall remain unchanged for the committee under its new <br />title as the Environmental and Transportation Committee and its <br />expanded scope of authority as provided by this resolution, except <br />that the number of members shall be eleven (11) and there shall no <br />longer be a member representing the Inter-County Airport Authority. <br /> <br /> <br />
