No. 355 <br />Jesse Ojeda <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />This being the date set for the continued hearing on the adoption of an Ordinance <br />establishing drainage fees; Harry Martin, 500 Dyer Road, requested clarification o~ <br />the various proposed drainage fees, and stated if all the undeveloped areas were <br />subdivided and drainage fees were charged on the 50% basis, it would amount to abot~t <br />$2,000,000.00 of the $12,000,000.00 Drainage Master Plan. Hearing closed. On mo- <br />tion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Ordi- <br />nance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance establishing local drainage areas, fiEing fees to pro- <br /> portionate~y defray the costs of constructing storm water drainage <br /> facilities for said drainage areas and requiring payment of such <br /> fees as a condition of approval of final subdivision maps" <br /> <br />establishing the drainage fees in the thirteen drainage areas, as indicated in the <br /> <br />Ordinance and on the study made, on the basis of 50% of the charge in the areas, a~ <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Local Drainage Area No. I $5B0.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. II 510.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. III 575.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. IV 375.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. V 565.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. VI 425.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. VII 490.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. VIII 385.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. IX 300.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. X 415.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. XI 500.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. XII 190.00 <br />Local Drainage Area No. XIII 170.00 <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for the continued hearing on Amendment Application No. 355, <br />filed by Jesse OJeda, amending Sectional District Map No. 8-5-9, to reclassify fro~ <br />the R-1 to the 0-5 and R-1-B Districts property on the south side of 17th Street <br />between Mabury and Wright Streets (the southwest corner of Mabury and 17th Streetst, <br />all as shown on Exhibit A.A. 355A, at the verbal request of Mrs. Joanne J. Royse, <br />1413 No. Eastside Avenue, the Clerk submitted a petition previously submitted on <br />November 20, 1961, signed by approxfm~tely 292 persons, in opposition to Amendment <br />Application No. 355, filed by Jesse OJeda. On motion of Councilm, n Hubbard, second- <br />ed by Heillly and carried, the petition was received and filed. Frederick J. <br />Ackerman, 1518 No. Eastside Avenue, complimented the Planning Department on the <br />fine job of preparing Special Study 18, and stated the residents consider this sec- <br />tion to be a fine residential area and desire it to remain as such. Mr. Ackerman <br />further stated an 80 foot street is a better buffer between residential and commer- <br />cial property than a block wall; the approxfmately 100 people attending the Counci1 <br />and Planning Co,,,tssion meetings disagree with the recommendations of the C~issi~ <br />and agree with the Planning Department, and requested that Special Study 18, pre- <br />pared by the Planning Department be read. Special Study 18 was read by the Clerk. <br />Hearing closed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br /> to change District classification on Amendment Application No. <br /> 355 and amending Sectional District Map 8-5-9 (Exhibit A.A. 355B <br /> Corrected)" <br /> <br />reclassifying from the R-1 to the C-5 District, as rec~amended by Exhibit A.A. <br />B55B Corrected, for the depth of 265 feet from the center line of 17th Street, was <br />introduced~ considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
