William Folsom, 18371 Beach Boulevard, <br />Huntington Beach, representing the applicant, stated since the denial of the origi- <br />nal Variance Application, fifteen more feet have been acquired at the rear of the <br />property, which brings the area in excess of 9,200 square feet per unit, and the <br />additional footage eltmfuates one of the reasons for the denial; two more parking <br />spaces will be added to meet the required covered parking spaces, plus four guest <br />parking spaces. Mr. Folsom presented a new plot plan, called attention to location <br /> <br />of the additional parking spaces, stated the existing units should be removed, the <br /> an <br />new units would be above the average and/asset to the area, and the lot area and <br /> <br />parking requirements have now been met. Bessie N. Donica~ ~618 West Camils Street~ <br />stated uniform units would add greatly to the neighborhood and would attract a better <br />class of people. Luther J. Nersesian, B702 West Camile Street, and Mrs. Lawrence <br /> <br />C. Durnil, ~6SB West Camile Street~ stated there is an overcrowding of the lots in <br />the area. On motion of Councilman Heinly~ seconded by B~ewer and carried, Appeal <br />Application No. 57 was denied, the decision of the Zoning Administrator upheld, and <br />the applicant entitled to three units as recommended by the Zoning Administrator, <br />if he so desires, subject to the conditions of the Planning Department and the De- <br />partment of Public Works. <br /> <br />C.~.~..~.anication was presented frem the Planning Department recon~ending approval of <br />site plans for building permit purposes for the Farmers Insurance Group office <br />building, and advising the plans comply with all zoning regulations and conditions <br />of approval of Variance Application No. 108~, and have been approved by the Plan- <br />ning Commission and Planning Department~ in accordance with Condition Two of said <br />Variance Application~ which states that a site plan showing parking and placement <br />of building be submitted and approved by the Planning Commission, Planning Depart- <br />ment and City Council. On motion of Councilman Heinly~ seconded by Brewer and <br />carried, the site plans for the Farmers Insurance Group office building were approved, <br />as submitted. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilm~u Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, action was continued <br />until the next meeting on the communication from the Planning Cc~mission rec~mend- <br />lng approval of proposed annexation of territory designated "Santa Clara and Wright <br />Northwest Annex," consisting of approximately .h46 acre, located on the north side <br />of Santa Clara Avenue Just west of Wright Street, if extended. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, action was continued <br />until the next meeting on the ccmmz~uication from the Planning C~ission recommend- <br />ing approval of proposed annexation of territory designated "Lyon and ~ain-Southeast <br />Annex~" consisting of apprcxtmstely 9.551 acres, located at the southeast corner of <br />Lyon Street and Main Street (Tustin). <br /> <br />Ccmm~nlcation was presented from the Flanning C~aission r~commending approval of <br />proposed street name change - Farmers Drive be changed to become extension of pre- <br />sently existing street to the west to be known as Memory Lane, and the cul-de-sac <br /> <br /> <br />
