This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 387, filed by Solomon Enterprises, Inc., amending Sectional District Map 17-5-10, to reclassify from the R-1 District to the C-1 District, property on the northwest corner of EtAclid (Verano) Street and McFadden (Sugar) Avenue, with approximately 145 feet of Euclid Street frontage and apprc~imate~y 235 feet of McFadden Avenue frontage, all as shown on E~hibit A.A. 387A, wherein the Planning C~ission rec.~.~,.ended denial; no protests were received and the hearing closed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the recn-.~.endation of the Planning C~....tssion was approved, and Amendment Application No. 387, filed by Solomon Enterprises, Inc., wes denied. This being the date set for hearing on Amendment Application No. 389, filed by F. Lavelle Sanders, amending Sectional District Map 7-5-9, to reclassify from the R-3 District to the C-1 District and from the R-1 District to the R-lB District, prop- erty at the southwest corner of 17th Street and Fairmont Street with approximately 54 feet of 17th Street frontage and approximately 126 feet of Fairmont Street front age; and that lot t,~ediately south of the above property with appro~t,mtely 52 fee~ of Fairmont Street frontage, all as shown on Exhibit A.A. ~89A; Planning rec,~.~ended C-5 District for the 17th Street property and recommended retaining Fairmont Street property as R-l~ all as shown c~ EEhibit A.A. 3893. F. Lavelle Sanders, 1206 West 18~h Street~ reqmested the withdrawal of the petition for the reclassification of the Fairmont Street property from the R-1 District to the R-lB District. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the request of the applicant was granted, and the Fairmont Street property reclassifi- cation petitio~ withdrawn. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried~ the following Ordinance entitled: "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Aha Municipal Code to change district classification on Amendment Application No. 389 and amending Sectional District Map 7-5-9 (EEhibit AA 3893)" filed by F. Lavelle Sanders, reclassify~g from the R-3 District to the C-5 Dis- trict, property at the southwest corner of 17th Street and Fairmont Stre~et with appro~fmately 54 feet of 17th Street frontage and apprc~tmately L?6 feet of. The Council having uBsuimously waived the reading of the Resolution~ on motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 62-84 ordering the Street Superintendent to abate the public nuisance heretofore declared by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, to-wit: weeds which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry and which are nc~ious and dangerous, growing upon certain streets, sidewalks and private property in the City of Santa Ana~ hy having the weeds referred to removed" was considered and passed by the following vote:
