<br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexation of property consisting of
<br />approxtm-tel~ 9.551 acres, located at the southeast corner of Lyon Street and Main
<br />Street (Tustin); on motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried,
<br />the Affidavilfsof Publication ~ received and filed. The Mayor asked the Clerk if
<br />any written protests had been received, and she replied there were none. Hearing
<br />closed.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by B~ewer and carried, the followim~ Resolution en-
<br />t it led:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 62-101 declaring that majority protest has not
<br /> been made against the annexation of territory under the name
<br /> of "Lyon and Main S. E. Annex"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />Noes, Councilmen None

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of
<br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Ordinance en-
<br />titled:

<br /> "Ordinance declaring the annexation of territory designated 'Lyon
<br /> and Main S. E. Annex'"
<br />
<br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
<br />
<br />Variance Application No. 1609, filed by Col-ma~-Hicks Corporation, to build a two-
<br />story six-unit apartment house at 1218 North Van Ness Avenue, in the R-2 District,
<br />was presented from the Zoning Administrator for decision by the Council. Gordon M.
<br />Hicks, 123 East llth Street, stated he desires to build an apartment house at this
<br />location, but would stand on the decisic~ of the Council on this matter. On motion
<br />of Councilm, n Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, Variance Application No.
<br />1609, filed by Coleman-Hicks Corporation was approved, subject to the conditions as
<br />imposed.

<br />Cc~munication was presented from the planning Department recommending approval of
<br />Preliminary Record of Survey 262~ filed by John Kilroy, creating two lots located
<br />on the west side of Susan Street 0etween Warner and Segerstrom Avenues, subject to
<br />
<br />conditions. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried,
<br /> 262,

<br />C~mnunication was presented from the Planning Department recom~nending approval of
<br />Preliminary Record of Survey 264, filed by Egon A. Gardner, creating four lots lo-
<br />cated on the north side of 17th Street approximately 367 feet east of the center
<br />
<br />line of Wright Street, subject to conditions. On motion of Councilman Hubbard,

<br />seconded by Schlueter and carried, Preliminary Record of Survey/~ filed by Egon A.
<br />
<br />Gardner, was approved, subject to conditions.

<br />Co,.a~nication was presented from the Planning Department rec~maending approval of
<br />Preliminary Record of Survey 265, filed by Nell Reitman, et al, creating and com-

<br />bining two lots located on the north side of Bishop Street approximately 500 feet
<br />of Shelton Street, subject to conditions. On motion of ~n, cilman 'Nubbard, second-

<br />et al, was approved, subject to conditions.
