(6) Floor Slabs: <br /> <br />The following measures are recommended to mitigate expansive soils: <br /> <br />Prior to placing floor slabs, subgrade soils should be scarified to a depth of 6 <br />inches, moisture conditioned, and recompacted to at least 95 percent of the <br />maximum dry density as determined by ASTM D1557. <br /> <br />A moisture barrier is recommended under all floor slabs.
