5OO <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-046 <br />PAGE 2 <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br /> Upon written request from the permittee, refunds of permit <br />fees may be made to the permittee in an amount equal to eighty <br />percent (80%) of the permit fee in excess of twenty dollars <br />($20.00) paid; except that no permit fees shall be refunded <br />under any of the following circumstances: <br /> <br />(1) After 180 days has elapsed from the date of the <br /> issuance of the permit. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />If any inspections have been performed by the Building <br />Safety Division. <br /> <br /> If a permit has been issued for a project located in an <br />area outside of the jurisdiction of the City, one hundred <br />percent (100%) of the permit and plan check fee may be refunded. <br />If a permit has been erroneously issued, one hundred percent <br />(100%) of the duplicated permit and plan check fee may be <br />refunded. <br /> <br /> If a plan check fee has been paid and the plan is withdrawn <br />by the applicant prior to the plan check, refunds of plan check <br />fees may be made to the permittee in an amount equal to eighty <br />percent (80%) of the plan check fee in excess of twenty dollars <br />($20.00) paid. In no other case may any plan check fees be <br />refunded. <br /> <br /> A special investigation fee shall be charged by the <br />Building official for any investigation of a building structural <br />work, reports, certification, or any other related work <br />requested by an owner or his authorized agent. Said fee shall <br />be assessed in an amount sufficient to reimburse the City for <br />the costs actually incurred by the city based upon a rate of <br />fifty dollars ($50.00) per hour but in no case shall be less <br />than fifty dollars ($50.00). <br /> <br />Do <br /> <br />VIOLaTION/INVESTIGATION & PENALTY FEES <br /> <br /> When any work for which a permit is required has been <br />commenced without the authorization of such permit, an <br />investigation may be required before a permit will be issued for <br />such work. An investigation fee shall be assessed in an amount <br />sufficient to reinburse the City for costs actually incurred by <br />the city based on a rate of fifty dollars ($50.00) per hour but <br />in no case less than fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be collected. <br />In addition to the investigation fee and regular permit fee, a <br />penalty in an amount equal to the amount of the total permit fee <br />shall be required, but in no case less than one hundred and <br />twenty-five dollars ($125.00). <br /> <br /> <br />
