035 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 94-033 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO <br />Ai~END RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110, 85-027 AND 91-066 TO EFFECT <br />CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION PLAN, FOR OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />city of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and <br />maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil <br />service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; <br />and <br /> <br /> Wq~EREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the <br />Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and employees of the city <br />of Santa Ana; and on July 1, 1991, passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 91-066, re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for classes <br />of employment designated as unrepresented executive and middle <br />management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the adoption of the annual budget for Fiscal <br />Year 1994-1995, the City Council authorized certain organizational, <br />staffing, and compensation changes which affect several titles in <br />the City's Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes <br />of employment contained in Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 91-066; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 1, 1991, the city Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution 91-067, amending Resolution No. 82-110, to provide a <br />three percent (3%) salary increase for employees designated as <br />Unaffiliated Confidential, to be effective on July 1, 1993, then on <br />May 3, 1993, passed and adopted Resolution 93-040, amending <br />Resolution No. 82-110, rescinding that increase, and it is now <br />desired to reauthorize the increase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 16, 1994, the City Council approved a <br />Memorandum of Understanding with the Santa Ana City Employees' <br />Association/Service Employees International Union approving a three <br />percent (3%) increase in salary for represented part-time employees <br />effective July 1, 1994, and it is now desired to provide non- <br />represented part-time employees an equivalent increase; and <br /> <br /> <br />
