, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91- 067 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REESTABLISHING THE BASIC COMPENSATION FOR CLASSES OF <br />EMPLOYEES DESIGNATED AS UNAFFILIATED CONFIDENTIAL CLASSES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of <br />the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, <br />install and maintain a position classification and pay plan <br />subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval <br />of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the <br />basic Classification and Compensation Plan for the Officers and <br />Employees of the City of Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 5, 1989, the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 89-088 amending said Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plan to designate certain <br />classes of employment as Unaffiliated Confidential (UC) and to <br />provide such classes with certain employee benefits or benefit <br />levels not provided to non-management classes represented by <br />the several formally recognized employee associations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and the Santa Ana City <br />Employee's Association/Service Employee's International Union, <br />Local 1939, AFL-CIO, CLC (SACEA/SEIU) have reached agreement on <br />a new three-year salary and benefit package including salary <br />increases totaling twenty-three percent over the next three <br />fiscal years, July 1, 1991 through June 30, 1994. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is new desired to: <br /> <br /> 1. adjust the base salaries for Unaffiliated Confidential <br />classes of employment during the three-year period July 1, 1991 <br />through June 30, 1994, by the same percentage and at the same <br />time as provided SACEA/SEIU represented classes of employment; <br />and <br /> <br /> 2. provide effective October 1, 1991, the same health and <br />dental insurance benefits and employer-paid premium <br />contributions as will be provided for SACEA/SEIU represented <br />classes of employment; and <br /> <br /> 3. modify the Wellness/Physical Fitness Program to <br />provide alternative fitness incentive options with no increase <br />in reimbursement formula; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: that Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as <br />amended, is hereby further amended by assigning the following <br /> <br /> <br />
