On roll call vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen: <br />Noes, Cot~cilmen: <br />Absent, Councilmen: <br /> <br />Hubbard, Schlueter, Gilmore, Brewer, Hall <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />SOLICITATION REQUEST On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilm-u Brewer and <br /> carried, permission was granted to <br /> the Orange County Heart Association <br />to solicit funds February 15, 16, and 17, 196B. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION REQUEST On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilman Brewer and <br /> carried, the City of Hope, 208 W. <br /> Eighth Street, Los Angeles 14, was <br />granted permission to begin soliciting funds immediately and to continue to <br />May 5, 1R6 . <br /> <br />POPULATION ESTIMATE On motion of Councilm,u Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Counc~lm-u Brewer and <br /> carried, Council received and <br /> ordered filed a population estimate <br />furnished by the State of California Department of Finance, giving an official <br />population estimate of 120,?00 as of December l, 1962, for the purpose of com- <br />puting revenues returned to the City from the State. <br /> <br />RECORD OF SURVEY 293 It was moved by Councilm-u Brewer, <br /> seconded by Councilman Hubbard and <br /> carried, that Council postpone to the <br /> meeting of February 4, 196~, considera- <br />tion of Record of Survey Map 293 filed by Sal and Emilene Meraz. <br /> <br />RECORD OF SURVEY 294 It was moved by Councilm-n Hubbard, <br /> seconded by CouncilmAn Schlueter and <br /> carried, that Council approve Record <br /> of Survey 294, filed by T. R. Jimenez <br />for property located on the northwest corner of Washington Avenue and Mabury <br />Street, subject to the conditions outlined in the Planning Director's Report~ <br />dated January 15, 196~ <br /> <br />SALE OF PROP~TY - FIFTH STREET <br /> <br />Council received a report from the <br />City Manager relative to surplus real <br />property on Fifth Street, from <br />Fairview to West Street. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Gilmore and unani- <br />mously carried, that Council receive and order filed the Manager's report, <br />find and determine that the property described therein can have real value <br />only to the owner of adjoining property and could be used by other persons <br />only for the purpose of nuisance value to the adjoining land, and authorize <br />direct negotiations with the adjoining land owner. <br /> <br />City Council - 18 - January 21, 1963 <br /> <br /> <br />
