STREET NAME CHANGE Acting on the recommendation of the Planning Commission, it was moved by Councilman Brewer, seconded by Councilman Hubbard, that Council waive further reading and adopt RESOLUTION NO. 6~-18, CHANGING TEE NA~E OF A PORTION OF EAST CONCORD STRW~.T TO EAST LADELL CIRCLE (east of Mabury Street between Fruit and Sixth Streets). On roll call vote: Ayes, Councilmen: Noes, Cot~cilmen: Absent, Councilmen: Hubbard, Schlueter, Gilmore, Brewer, Hall None None SOLICITATION REQUEST On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilm-u Brewer and carried, permission was granted to the Orange County Heart Association to solicit funds February 15, 16, and 17, 196B. SOLICITATION REQUEST On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Brewer and carried, the City of Hope, 208 W. Eighth Street, Los Angeles 14, was granted permission to begin soliciting funds immediately and to continue to May 5, 1R6 . POPULATION ESTIMATE On motion of Councilm,u Hubbard, seconded by Counc~lm-u Brewer and carried, Council received and ordered filed a population estimate furnished by the State of California Department of Finance, giving an official population estimate of 120,?00 as of December l, 1962, for the purpose of com- puting revenues returned to the City from the State. RECORD OF SURVEY 293 It was moved by Councilm-u Brewer, seconded by Councilman Hubbard and carried, that Council postpone to the meeting of February 4, 196~, considera- tion of Record of Survey Map 293 filed by Sal and Emilene Meraz. RECORD OF SURVEY 294 It was moved by Councilm-n Hubbard, seconded by CouncilmAn Schlueter and carried, that Council approve Record of Survey 294, filed by T. R. Jimenez for property located on the northwest corner of Washington Avenue and Mabury Street, subject to the conditions outlined in the Planning Director's Report~ dated January 15, 196~ SALE OF PROP~TY - FIFTH STREET Council received a report from the City Manager relative to surplus real property on Fifth Street, from Fairview to West Street. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Gilmore and unani- mously carried, that Council receive and order filed the Manager's report, find and determine that the property described therein can have real value only to the owner of adjoining property and could be used by other persons only for the purpose of nuisance value to the adjoining land, and authorize direct negotiations with the adjoining land owner.
