The potential impacts with reduced parking can be reduced to a less than significant level <br />through the implementation of the following mitigation measure'. <br /> <br />The project applicant shall request approval of a variance for ten percent reduction in <br />parking. <br /> <br />Am QUALITY <br /> <br />Significant Effect <br /> <br />The project will have short-term air quality impacts during project grading and construction. <br /> <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project <br />which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental effect identified in <br />the Final EIR. <br /> <br />Facts in Support of the Findin_~ <br /> <br />There will be air emissions generated during both project grading and construction that will <br />impact local air quality. The following mitigation measures will reduce short-term air impacts, <br />with the exception of nitrogen oxide emissions, to a less than significant levels: <br /> <br />One week prior to the start of grading, the applicant shall contact by mail all residents <br />immediately adjacent to the site and advise them to keep windows closed in order to <br />minimize dust intrusion. <br /> <br />The general contractor shall use Iow emission mobile construction equipment, where <br />feasible. <br /> <br />The general contractor shall water the site and clean equipment morning and evening to <br />comply with the AQMP Fugitive Dust Measures BCM-03 and BCM-06. The general <br />contractor shall water the construction site and unpaved haul roads (with use of reclaimed <br />water or chemical soil binder, where feasible) twice daily. <br /> <br />Construction operations shall include that on-site crews wash off'trucks leaving the site to <br />comply with the AQMP Fugitive Dust Measure BCM*01. <br /> <br />The general contractor shall apply chemical soil stabilizers according to manufacturer's <br />specifications to all inactive construction areas (previously graded areas which remain <br />inactive for 96 hours). <br /> <br />The general contractor shall sweep streets daily if silt is carded over to adjacent public <br />thoroughfares. <br /> <br />7.
