The City Manager was <br /> instructed to continue the investigation <br />of the area and return a rec~mm-udation to Council. <br /> <br />MUNICIPAL STADID-M It was moved by Counc~lm-n Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Counci]m~n Schlueter and <br /> unanimously carried that the City <br /> Council approve an addendum to the <br />notice inviting bids for the construction of the Municipal Stadium as <br />follows: <br /> <br />On Page 2 of the proposal, the date for completion of turf <br />work shall be December 7, 1963; the date for ccm~letion of <br />field lights, poles, and cages shall be January 1, 196~; <br />the date for the completion of all work under the contract <br />shall be Feb~3~ary 1, 196~. <br /> <br />CLAIM FOR DAMAGES On motion of Counc~ma~ Hubbard, seconded <br />ZARGES by Counc~ma~ Harvey and carried, Council <br /> referred to the City Attorney a claim <br /> filed by Alfreda Zarges, 1501 N. Spurgeon, <br />Apt. 1, for damages allegedly resulting from a fall on March 1, 1~63 on the <br />sidewalk located near the Mission Savings & Loan parking lot on 17th Street. <br /> <br />CLAIM FOR DAMAGES On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded <br />MOP~. by CouncilmauHarvey and carried, Council <br /> referred to the City Attorney a claim <br /> filed by Kenneth E. Morrell, 51~ S. <br />Parton for damages allegedly resulting from a defective steel plate covering <br />a street drain at 1345 S. Main Street° <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~m-u HuBbard, seconded <br />by Counc~lm~- Harvey and carried, Council <br />referred to the City Attorney a claim <br />filed by Irma Ro Gollan, 1031 Brookside, <br />Redlands, California for d~m~ges allegedly resulting from a fall when <br />stepping from the curbing onto a faulty portion of the street at 2nd and <br />Sycamore. <br /> <br />MERIT S~.LARY INCREASES <br /> <br />On motion of COumc~lm~u HuBbard, seconded <br />by Councilmau Schlueter and carried, Council <br />approved merit salary increases recmmmended <br />in the City Manager's report dated April <br />11, 1963. <br /> <br />VACATION OF DRAINAGE On motion of Counci~m-~ Hubbard, <br />EASemENT seconded by Councilman Schlueter and <br /> carried, Council referred to the City <br /> Manager a request for vacation of <br />drainage easement from Clarence G. Berry, 401 S. Andres Street. <br /> <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL REQUEST Mrs. Frederic Eo Gladle, 1928 Center <br />RAITTANDWARN~ Street, presented a petition from 88 <br /> persons requesting a traffic signal <br /> at Raitt and Warner. On motion of <br />Counc~m~ Hubbard, seconded by Coun¢~mau Schlueter and carried, Council <br />received and ordered filed the petition. Reginald A. Glahn, 2058 ~o. <br />Rene Drive, spoke on behalf of installation of a signal. Mayor Hall <br />replied that careful consideration would be given to the request in the <br />preparation of the budget for <br />City Council - 77 - April 15, 1963 <br /> <br /> <br />
