TRAFFIC CONTROLS ' ~I322 8o Sullivan, requesting withdrawal SULLIVAN STR~-A' of a petition for traffic controls on (Continued) Sullivan Street. The City Manager was instructed to continue the investigation of the area and return a rec~mm-udation to Council. MUNICIPAL STADID-M It was moved by Counc~lm-n Hubbard, seconded by Counci]m~n Schlueter and unanimously carried that the City Council approve an addendum to the notice inviting bids for the construction of the Municipal Stadium as follows: On Page 2 of the proposal, the date for completion of turf work shall be December 7, 1963; the date for ccm~letion of field lights, poles, and cages shall be January 1, 196~; the date for the completion of all work under the contract shall be Feb~3~ary 1, 196~. CLAIM FOR DAMAGES On motion of Counc~ma~ Hubbard, seconded ZARGES by Counc~ma~ Harvey and carried, Council referred to the City Attorney a claim filed by Alfreda Zarges, 1501 N. Spurgeon, Apt. 1, for damages allegedly resulting from a fall on March 1, 1~63 on the sidewalk located near the Mission Savings & Loan parking lot on 17th Street. CLAIM FOR DAMAGES On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded MOP~. by CouncilmauHarvey and carried, Council referred to the City Attorney a claim filed by Kenneth E. Morrell, 51~ S. Parton for damages allegedly resulting from a defective steel plate covering a street drain at 1345 S. Main Street° On motion of Counc~m-u HuBbard, seconded by Counc~lm~- Harvey and carried, Council referred to the City Attorney a claim filed by Irma Ro Gollan, 1031 Brookside, Redlands, California for d~m~ges allegedly resulting from a fall when stepping from the curbing onto a faulty portion of the street at 2nd and Sycamore. MERIT S~.LARY INCREASES On motion of COumc~lm~u HuBbard, seconded by Councilmau Schlueter and carried, Council approved merit salary increases recmmmended in the City Manager's report dated April 11, 1963. VACATION OF DRAINAGE On motion of Counci~m-~ Hubbard, EASemENT seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council referred to the City Manager a request for vacation of drainage easement from Clarence G. Berry, 401 S. Andres Street. TRAFFIC SIGNAL REQUEST Mrs. Frederic Eo Gladle, 1928 Center RAITTANDWARN~ Street, presented a petition from 88 persons requesting a traffic signal at Raitt and Warner. On motion of Counc~m~ Hubbard, seconded by Coun¢~mau Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed the petition. Reginald A. Glahn, 2058 ~o. Rene Drive, spoke on behalf of installation of a signal. Mayor Hall replied that careful consideration would be given to the request in the preparation of the budget for City Council - 77 - April 15, 1963
