AFL-CI0 There being no response to the Mayor's <br />COMMUNICATION call for interested persons to speak <br /> regarding a letter received from <br /> Charles Hogan~ International Repre- <br />sentative of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, <br />a motion was made by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and <br />carried, that the letter be received and filed, and the City Manager be <br />instructed to answer the letter. <br /> <br />GENERAL PLAN On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />CONSULTANTS seconded by Counci~m~u Schlueter and <br /> carried, Council approved request <br /> from Planning Con~ission for Joint <br />meeting to discuss negotiations with consulting firms regarding the General <br />Plan, City Center Plan, 20-Year Capital Improvement Program, and Five-Year <br />Capital Budget. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION REQUEST On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />LEUKEM~ SOCIETY seconded by Councilman Schlueter and <br /> carried, Council approved request <br /> by Leukemia Society for permission <br />to conduct a fund raising campaign during the latter part of May and the <br />month of June. <br /> <br />SOLICITATION REQUEST On motion of Councilm~u Hubbard, <br />LEGION POPPY SALE seconded by CounciLman Schlueter and <br /> carried, Council granted the request <br /> of Unit No. 131, American Legion <br />Auxiliary~ for permission to sell poppies on May 24 and 25. <br /> <br />PRELIM. MAP 316 On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Counc~lm~n Gilmore and <br /> carried, Council approved~ subject <br /> to the conditions in the Planning <br />Director's report dated May 16, 196S, Preliminary Map 316 filed by James <br />White Oil Co. creating two C 1 lots at the northwest corner of Edinger and <br />Gordon Place. <br /> <br />TENT. ~AP 5085 Tentative Tract Map 5085 was filed <br />B & K PROPERTIES by B & K Properties, creating 18 <br /> lots northeast of the intersection <br /> of Edinger and Standard Avenue. On <br />motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Gilmore and carried, <br />Council approved Map 5085 subject to the conditions described in the Planning <br />Director's Report dated May 9, 196B. <br /> <br />TENT. MAP 5157 Tentative Tract Map 5157 was filed <br />HORPEL by Frank Horpel creating 11 lots on <br /> proposed Chestnut Street located on <br /> the east side of Raitt Street and <br />south of Pine Street.
