Van Stevens, Senior Planner for the Planning Department, explained that since <br />a letter had been signed bythe President and Vice President of The George <br />Dunton Fordland Co., Inc., agreeing to the recomznended improvements of the <br />petitioners providing the rezoning of Amendment Application ~61 was approved, <br />the Planning Commission's recnmmendation for denial could be disregarded, since <br />the letter covered the recommended conditions by the Planning Department, with <br />the exception of payment of acreage drainage fee. <br /> <br />Fred Fergy, Jr., attorney for The George Dunton Fordland Co., Inc., and the <br />applicant, formally filed the letter described by Mr. Stevens. On motion of <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council <br />received and ordered filed the letters. <br /> <br />There being no further testimony, the Mayor closed the hearing. It was moved <br />by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Counci]~,an Harvey and carried, that the <br />City Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to <br />prepare an amending ordinance° <br /> <br />HEARING - AMEND. Mayor Hall opened the hearing on Amendment <br />APP. ~62 Application ~62 filed by Joseph Maeller to <br />~JETJ.k~ reclassify fram the R-1 to the CM District <br /> property on the south side of Washington <br />Avenue between Grand Avenue and Lincoln Street. Planning Commission Resolution <br />56~1 recommended approval of Exhibit AA 462-A. <br /> <br />The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published in The Register on <br />July 20, 1963, and that no written communications or objections had been <br />received. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the <br />hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Council~ Harvey and carried, <br />Council approved the reclassification and instructed the City Attorney to <br />prepare an amending ordinance according to Exhibit AA ~62-A. <br /> <br />c~ <br />HEARING - SANTA Mayor Hall opened the hearing on the proposed <br />CLARA & TUSTIN annexation of territory designated "SANTA <br />NE A~N~ CLARA &TUSTINNEANNEX". The Clerk reported <br /> that proper notice of the hearing was <br />published and mailed as required by law, that evidence thereof was on file, <br />and that no written protests had been received.
