HEARING - AMEND. Mayor Hall opened the hearing on Amend- APP. 453 ment Application 453 filed by Albert HASSON Hasson to reclassify from the R-2 to the R-3 District property on the east side of Sycamore between St. Andrew Street and Cummercial Street. Planning Cummission Resolution 5639 recommended denial of applicant's proposal. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published in The Register on July 20, 1963, and that no written cce~unications or objections had been received. There being no response to the MAyor's call for testimony, the hearing was closed. On motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council denied the request for reclassification. HEARING - AMEND. Mayor Hall opened the hearing on ~APP. 455 Amendment Application 455 filed by CAVANAUGH Richard Cavanaugh to reclassify from the R-3 H to the P District property on the north side of First Street between Tustin Avenue and the Santa Aha Free- way. Planning Commission recommended approval. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published in The Register on July 13, 1963, and that no written communications or objections had been received. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony, the hear- ingwas closed. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Gilmore and carried, that Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to prepare an amending ordinance according to Exhibit 455-A. Mayor Hall opened the hearing on Amend- HOLTzAPP--456 ment Application 456 filed by Alhan Holtz to reclassify from the R-2 to the C-5 District property on the north side of 17th Street between Valencia and Poinsettia. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published in The Register on July 13, 1963, and that no written communications or objections had been received. Frank ~ntick, 13121 Westminster, asked that the classification be changed as rec~ended by the Planning C~.....ission. The City Manager commented that most of this property is needed by the State of California for freeway construction. There being no further testimony, the hearing was closed. It was moved by CouncilmaB Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Harvey and carried, thatthe Council approve the reclassification and instruct the City Attorney to prepare an amending ordinance according to Exhibit AA 456-B. Mayor Hall opened the hearing on Amend- ,L3~APP. 461 ment Application 461 filed by Harry BOUCHIER Bouchier to reclassify from the R-3 and R-1 to the C-2 District property on the north side of Warner between Main and Van Ness. Planning Commission Resolution 56~2 recommended denial of applicant's proposal. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published in The Register on July 20, 1963 and that a letter from 20 property owners had been received stating they would not contest the application provided applicant would make three improvements prior to occupying any portion of property.
