Gelinas, Secretary of the Santa Ana Chamber of Ccmmnerce, requesting Council not to make drastic changes in zon~E pending completion of the General Plan studies; and Janice Boer, 917 N. Lowell, question- lng the wisdc~ of any rezoning of industrial property at the present time. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed the preceding communications. George Maxwell, Coordinator of the Industrial Division of the Santa Ama Chamber of Commerce, spoke in opposition to any rezcuing on Behalf of the above named business men. On motion of Councilman Hmbbard, seconded ~y Councilman Wa~vey and carried, the hearing on Amen~aent Application 4~ was continued to October 21, 1963, 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber, 217 No. Main Street. Oi~DER OF There Being no objection by the City Council, Mayor Hall ~nounced a change in the order of the agenda in order to acc~mcdate the large number of persons present on certain items. NEARING - A~u~DMmx,' Mayor Hall opened the hearing on APPLICATYON 458 Amendment Application 458 filed by AXELSON Jule C. Axelson to reclassify from the M-1 to the R-~ District property on the west side of Grand Avenue Between Warner and McFadden. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published on July 13, 1963 in the Santa Aha Resister, and that a letter fron %ha. I. Miller, Miller Iron Works, protesting, and a letter from the attorney for the applicant requesting a 90 day dela~ had been received. George Mm.xwell, Coordinator for the Industrial Division of the Santa Ama Chamber of Commerce, requested that the letters submitted for Amendment Application ~4 also Be introduced as evidence in this hearing with the same persons present. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, the letters were received and ordered filed as applying to this hearing.
