OF SURVEM On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ <br />3~6 - WEBE~ PLYWOOD CO. seconded by Counc~lma~ Harvey and <br /> carriedj Council approved Preliminary <br /> Record of Survey 346 filed by Weber <br />Plywood Company creating two M i lots on the east side of Grand Avenue, south <br />of Warren, subject to the conditions outlined in the Planning Director's report <br />dated December 30~ 1963, with the added condition that should the City fail in <br />its efforts to e~force c~mpliance against the record owner of the property <br />where the Building Code violation is created because of acme legal prohibition <br />of technicality, than the Final M~p will not be approved until corrective <br />measures are u~dertaken. ' <br /> <br />~A. VACATI0~ The City Manager reported that in <br />STATER ~R0~. exchange for the abandonment of a <br /> portion of ~ger and Fairview, <br /> requested by Stater Bros. Markets, <br />the City was asking for dedication of a small piece of property at the south- <br />east corner of Fairview and Edinger to improve the turning radius for traffic. <br />C. V. Brown, Engineer employed by Stater Bros., explained that the property <br />is under a purchase option and the persons buying it do not wish to .rake an <br />exchange. <br /> <br />It was moved by Council~n Hubbard, seconded by Councilm,~ Schlueter and <br />carried, that the request of Starer Bros. be denied. It was suggested by <br />Mayor Hall that starer Bros. andl the purchaser of the property meet with City <br />staff to negotiate a three way transaction. <br /> <br />TRAFFIC CO~'£'I~OL On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ <br /> seconded by Counci~- Harvey and <br /> carried, Council received an~ ordered <br /> · , .., filed supplemental informatioa on <br />striping ~f ROSs Street regar~ing the request of Orange County~ Eaployees <br />Associatiou for fnatallation ~o~ some type of traffic control at the intersection <br />of Ross and Eighth Streets. <br /> <br />~JSINESS LICENSE TAXES Hal Winter, 206 W. 4th Street, <br /> Secretary of the Downtown Santa Aha <br /> ~ Association, gave the organization' s <br /> support to the proposed revision of <br />the business license schedule for retail concerns. On motion of Councilman <br />Hubbard, seccaded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, the City Council post- <br />po~ed action of a proposed revision of business license taxes to the meeting <br />of February S, 196~ so that wider publicity might be given the proposal. <br /> <br />CRANGE ORDER (Mx motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />PROJ. 13k AND C-88 seconded by Counc~lm~n Harvey and <br /> carried, Council approved Ch~mEe <br /> Orders i through ~ to the contract <br />with Sully Miller Contracting Coati, ay for Projects 13~ (Unit II) and C-88, in <br />the total amo~ut of $355.88. <br /> <br />PRE.
