OF SURVEM On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ 3~6 - WEBE~ PLYWOOD CO. seconded by Counc~lma~ Harvey and carriedj Council approved Preliminary Record of Survey 346 filed by Weber Plywood Company creating two M i lots on the east side of Grand Avenue, south of Warren, subject to the conditions outlined in the Planning Director's report dated December 30~ 1963, with the added condition that should the City fail in its efforts to e~force c~mpliance against the record owner of the property where the Building Code violation is created because of acme legal prohibition of technicality, than the Final M~p will not be approved until corrective measures are u~dertaken. ' ~A. VACATI0~ The City Manager reported that in STATER ~R0~. exchange for the abandonment of a portion of ~ger and Fairview, requested by Stater Bros. Markets, the City was asking for dedication of a small piece of property at the south- east corner of Fairview and Edinger to improve the turning radius for traffic. C. V. Brown, Engineer employed by Stater Bros., explained that the property is under a purchase option and the persons buying it do not wish to .rake an exchange. It was moved by Council~n Hubbard, seconded by Councilm,~ Schlueter and carried, that the request of Starer Bros. be denied. It was suggested by Mayor Hall that starer Bros. andl the purchaser of the property meet with City staff to negotiate a three way transaction. TRAFFIC CO~'£'I~OL On motion of Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by Counci~- Harvey and carried, Council received an~ ordered · , .., filed supplemental informatioa on striping ~f ROSs Street regar~ing the request of Orange County~ Eaployees Associatiou for fnatallation ~o~ some type of traffic control at the intersection of Ross and Eighth Streets. ~JSINESS LICENSE TAXES Hal Winter, 206 W. 4th Street, Secretary of the Downtown Santa Aha ~ Association, gave the organization' s support to the proposed revision of the business license schedule for retail concerns. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seccaded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, the City Council post- po~ed action of a proposed revision of business license taxes to the meeting of February S, 196~ so that wider publicity might be given the proposal. CRANGE ORDER (Mx motion of Councilman Hubbard, PROJ. 13k AND C-88 seconded by Counc~lm~n Harvey and carried, Council approved Ch~mEe Orders i through ~ to the contract with Sully Miller Contracting Coati, ay for Projects 13~ (Unit II) and C-88, in the total amo~ut of $355.88.
