RESOLUTION NO. 2001-089 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 91-066 TO ADJUST THE SALARY FOR THE UNREPRESENTED EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASS OF FIRE CHIEF BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council. On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 91- 066 re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented Executive and Middle Management. C. Said Resolution No. 91-066 has been amended from time to time. It is proposed that the salary level for the unrepresented executive management class of Fire Chief (EM) be adjusted in order to reduce compression between the Fire Chief's salary and the salary of other fire managers. Eo It is now desired to amend Resolution No. 91-066 to effect these changes. Section2: That Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, is hereby further amended by increasing the salary level assigned to the unrepresented executive management class title of Fire Chief as shown below: Salary Rate Ran.qe Effective: FROM TO SRR Annual Salary SRR Annual Salary Class Title No. (Min-Max) No. (Min-Max) 7-1-02 7-1-03 Fire Chief (EM) EM-32 ($88,824-125,496) EM-34 ($93,324-131,844)* * *In future fiscal years, the salary rate range shall be increased to provide the same percentage increase as is provided to members of the Fire Management Association.
