1922.10.1 General. The design and construction of plain concrete <br /> components that resist seismic forces shall conform to the requirements <br /> of Section 1922, except as modified by this section. <br /> <br />1922.10.2 Seismic Zones 0 and 1. Structural plain concrete members located <br /> in Seismic Zones 0 and 1 shall be designed in accordance with the <br /> provisions of Sections 1922.1 through 1022.1 through 1922.9. <br /> <br />1922.10.3 Seismic Zones 2, 3 and 4. Structural plain concrete members are <br /> not permitted in buildings located in Seismic Zones 2, 3 and 4. <br /> <br />EXCEPTIONS: <br /> <br />1. Footings for buildings of Group R, Division 3 or Group U, Division 1 <br /> Occupancy constructed in accordance with Table 18-I-C. <br /> <br />2. Post-tensioned slabs-on-grade and topping slabs when supported by <br />approved structural systems. <br /> <br /> SECTION 21: That section 8-182 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby deleted in <br />its entirety (existing language shown in strikeout for tracking purposes only): <br /> <br /> SECTION 22: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares that amendment to section 8-290 is necessary because in certain areas of <br />the City of Santa Ana, the water table is less than 8 feet deep. Gray water <br />implementation may cause cross-contamination of ground water with untreated <br />wastewater from gray water systems, thereby contaminating underground potable water <br />sources. <br /> <br /> SECTION 23: That section 8-290 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />such that it reads as follows (new language in bold, deleted language in strikeout for tracking <br />purposes only): <br /> <br />Sec. 8-290. Adoption by reference. <br /> <br /> There is adopted by the city that certain code known as the California Plumbing <br />Code, 2001 Edition, including the following appendices thereto: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I <br />and K, (hereinafter referred to in this article as the "Plumbing Code"), together with <br />subsequent supplements or amendments, which shall become effective, adopted and <br />incorporated by reference into the Santa Ana Municipal Code on the date specified by <br />the State Building Standards Commission, unless otherwise specified. The Plumbing <br />Code is adopted and incorporated by reference as fully set forth at length herein as <br />provided for in section 419 of the Charter of the city, except for the changes to the <br />Plumbing Code set forth in this Chapter of the Santa Ana Municipal Code that <br />specifically amend the Plumbing Code.
