On motion of Councilman Brooks~ seconded by Councilman Gilmore and carried, <br />Council postponed to the meeting of November 1st action regarding the sewer <br />line, for further report and a City Attorney's ruling. <br /> <br />pRZVATE WATER CO. On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded <br /> by Councilman Burk and carried~ Council <br /> ordered filed letter from John P. Quirk <br /> urging City to purchase that portion of <br />the Southern California Water Company located within the city limits. <br /> <br />CO~g~NITY ACTION On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded <br /> by Council~n Burk and carried~ Council <br /> ordered filed a letter from the Orange <br /> County Community Action Council, Inc.~ <br />requesting Council's recommendation to Orange County League of Cities for <br />their support and affiliation with the Orange County Community Action <br />Council, Inc. <br /> <br />ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS <br />AME~IDME~T <br /> <br />Arterial Highways by the County of <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brooks, seconded <br />by Councilman Gilmore and carried, Council <br />ordered filed Notice of Proposed <br />Amendment No. 96 to the Master Plan of <br />Orange. <br /> <br />CROSSING GUAED <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded <br />by Councilman Brooks and carried, Council <br />referred to staff for recommendation at <br />the November 1st meeting, petitions <br />requesting crossing guards at the intersection of Standard and McFadden and <br />at the intersection of Standard and Hobart. <br /> <br />REIMBURS E~MENTS <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Markel~ seconded <br />by Councilman Gilmore and carried, <br />Council authorized reimbursements to <br />the following: <br /> <br />Clara E. Vose, 1248 Memory Lane, S.A., $5~298.87 for constructing over <br />improvements for paving at southeast corner of Bristol and Memory Lane; <br /> <br />Security Fore Corp., 1565 Talbert, Costa Mesa, $3,278.50 for constructing <br />oversize sewers as part of Tract 5580; <br /> <br />Robert & Theodore Rosenson, 9470 Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, $2,874. for <br />constructing oversize sewers in Tustin Avenue north and south of Santa Clara; <br /> <br />Cal Enterprises, 2300 Westwood Blvd., Los Angeles~ $992.49 for construction <br />of street improvements in exchange for dedication on Main Street; <br /> <br />Frank Robel, 4006 Hazard, $953-86 for construction of street improvements <br />in exchange for dedication on Hazard. <br /> <br />BID~CALLs On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded <br /> by Councilman Markel and carried, Council <br /> granted authority to advertise for bids <br /> for magazine subscriptions for Library, <br />opening date 11-1-65; and for trailer mounted brush chipper, Spec. 652-10, <br />opening date 11-1-65. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />- 389 - <br /> <br />October 18, 1965 <br /> <br /> <br />
