CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />Engineering Design and <br />Landscaping Services <br /> <br />· Prepare landscape and irrigation plans. <br />· Provide project management, which generally includes <br /> the following tasks: <br /> Attendance at meetings. <br /> Updating the master schedule. <br /> Coordinating with subeonsultants. <br /> Coordinating with utility companies. <br /> Coordinating with affected agencies. <br />· Prepare preliminary cost estimate and specifications. <br />· Submit preliminary plans, specifications and estimate <br /> to the City and affected agencies for review and <br /> comment. <br />· Incorporate comments and prepare the final PS&E <br /> documents for the project. <br />· Coordinate utility relocations, if required, with each <br /> respective utility company. <br />· Continue to provide project management as generally <br /> defined above. <br />· Submit final PS&E documents to tbe City and affected <br /> agencies for final review and commenL <br />· Incorporate final cerements and submit plans on origi- <br /> nal mylars to the City for the purpose of obtaining <br /> construction bids. <br />· Provide electronic file of construction drawings on <br /> Microstation format. <br />· Provide specifications in Microsoft Word. <br />Phase 3 - Construction <br />ff requested by the City, DMJM+HARRIS' experienced <br />construction managemam staff stands ready to provide <br />the following construction services: <br /> <br />· Coordinate bid advertisement with City staff. <br />· Provide support during the bid phase. <br />· Prepare bid summary report and selection recom- <br /> mendations <br /> Provide construction management and administration. <br />· Provide construction inspection. <br /> Provide construction surveys and grade sheet reviews. <br />· Perform shop drawing review if required. <br />· Respond to Requests for Information. <br />· Coordinate materials and field testing. <br /> Prepare record drawings. <br /> <br />Staff Availability <br />DMJM+HARRIS has ample resources to perform projects <br />for the City of Santa Ana. The project team is prepared <br />to begin work immediately. DMJM+HARRIS' present <br />staff availability in civil and infrastructure engineering <br />is shown graphically in Figure 2-3. <br /> <br /> Figure 2.3. DMJM+HARR1S staff availability <br /> will coincide nicely with the upcoming On-Call <br /> projects for the City. <br /> <br />Management Plan <br />DMJM+HARRIS's project implementation is geared to- <br />ward quickly identifying and resolving project issues and <br />meeting established goals. This process features: <br /> <br /> A. Project Manager - single point-of-contact <br /> B. Project-specific scheduling and project controls <br /> C. An effective communications process <br /> D. A comprehensive Quality Control Plan <br /> <br />A. Project Manager - Single Point of <br />Contact <br />DMJM+HARRIS' project manager, Mr. Pat Somerville, <br />P.E. will serve as our single point-of-contact for the City <br />of Santa Aha. In this capacity he will be responsible <br />for: <br /> <br />· Serving as primary contact with the City and other <br /> agencies, as required, to meet project needs. <br />· Managing the DMJM+HARRIS team, including the <br /> authority to make decisions on behalf of the team and <br /> to commit corporate resources to meet project require- <br /> <br />· Scheduling and internally coordinating the team's work. <br />· Ensuring that the project's technical/professional and <br /> contractual requirements are thoroughly fulfilled. <br />· Establishing clear lines ofcommunicafion both internally <br /> and externally. <br />· Chairing all progress meetings and being the primary <br /> respondent to the City of Santa Aha. <br />· Initiating and maintaining a quality management program <br /> tailored t_.O the project. <br />· Managing an effective project con~'ols system which <br /> delivers high quality work on time and under budget. <br /> <br /> <br />
