owner of the new towing service, Tom's.Towing. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, it was moved by Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman <br />Carlson, to approve the list of proposed regulations for the police towing list with <br />the correction that Item n. on Page 4 be changed to read, "One of the tow trucks <br />~s~hall .be~ twin-boomed". The motion carried on roll call vote~ <br /> <br />AYES: Herrin, Brooks, Carlson, Griset, Markel, McMichael <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Thurman <br /> <br />Councilman Thurman returned to the Council table. <br /> <br />STADIUM SPEAKERS After considering the Manager's report regard- <br /> ing revisions to the public address system in <br /> the Municipal Stadium, it was moved by Council- <br />man Brooks, seconded by Councilman Griset and carried, to postpone action on this~ <br />matter for possible consideration in next year's budget. <br /> <br />SURPLUS BUILDINGS <br /> <br />authorized their demolition: <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by <br />Councilman Herrin and carried, Council <br />declared surplus the following buildings and <br /> <br />Surplus Property Report 30-68 - Service station at 415 North Ross; <br /> <br />Surplus Property Report 31-68 - One-story warehouse at 701 West 4th. <br /> <br />SURPLUS LAND Council considered Report 28-68 regarding <br />FIRST AND BRISTOL 22,334 square foot parcel on northwest corner <br /> of First and Bristol. It was moved by Council- <br />man Herrin, seconded by Councilman Brooks, to declare the property surplus, <br />authorize sale at auction on January 20, 1969, 7:30 P.M., with a minimum bid <br />of $80,000; and direct the Santa Ana-Orange-Tustin Board of Realtors to designate <br />a broker of record and authorize a multiple listing agreement with said broker <br />with a five percent commission. Mayor McMichael stated opposition to selling <br />the property at the present time. <br /> <br />The motion carried on the follOWi:ng roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Herrin, Brooks, Carlson, Griset, Thurman <br />NOES: Markel, McMichael <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 18, 1968 <br /> <br /> <br />
