PUBLIC OFFICE Janlce Boer stated that a member of the <br /> Personnel Board is on the Central Committee <br /> and requested that the City Attorney confirm <br />that the City Charter states that no public officer may hold a position on the <br />Personnel Board. Mayor McMichael requested Mrs. Boer to state her request <br />in the form of a letter to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />At 3:55 P.M. Councilman Herrin left the meeting temporarily. <br /> <br />FINAL MAP, TRACT 6743 ~ ~ Final Tract Map 6743, filed by Kavanaugh! <br /> Beard Development Company, creating 26 <br /> lots at Sunflower and Ross· was approved, <br />dedications thereon accepted, and execution of subdivision agreement authorized, <br />on motion of Councilman Griset· seconded by Councilman Broaks and carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Herrin returned to the Council table. <br /> <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS c~ ~ The City Manager reported that there was <br /> a possibility that a portion of the Council <br /> Chambers would have to be used to enlarge <br />the City Attorney's office. He explained that the City owns the Assembly of <br />God building which could be used for Council meetings· but that it would be <br />August or September before the City could occupy it. After a short discussion <br />of other alternatives and need for a new City Hall, it was moved by Councilman <br />Brooks, seconded by Councilman Griset and carried, to request staff to bring <br />back various methods and projections and economic factors of cost involved <br />in a dela~ Councilman Markel voted "No". <br /> of City Hall construction. <br /> <br />CIVIL DEFENSE COORDINATOR The City Manager introduced to Council <br /> the new Civil Defense Coordinator· Mr. <br /> Roy Ingalls. <br /> <br />RECESS At 4:25 P. M. · the meeting was recessed <br /> to 7:30 P.M., at which time it was recon- <br /> vened with all Council members present. <br />Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered <br />by the Reverend Russell Burriss of the Church of the Brethren, which was <br />followed by a moment of silent prayer for the newly inaugurated President <br />of the United States, Richard M.
