RESIGNATION On motion of Councilman Brooks, <br /> seconded b~ Councilman Villa and <br /> unanimously carried, the City Council <br />accepted with regret the resignation of Stuart A. Wilkinson from the <br />Citizen-Government Advisory Committee for Traffic Safety. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 615 Tentative Parcel Map 615, filed <br /> by Paul Cr~owell, creating 3 M 1 <br /> parcels on the south side of Central, <br />340 feet east of Susan, was approved ~ubject to conditions in PlanniNg <br />Director's report dated June 23, 1969, on motion of Councilman Brooks, <br />seconded by Councilman Herrin and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 616 Tentative Parcel Map 616, filed by <br /> George A. Wicker, creating four M 2 <br /> parcels on the east side of Santa Fe <br />and south of 'Chestnut, was approved subject to conditions in Planning <br />Director's report dated June 23, 1969, on motion of Councilman Herrsn, <br />seconded by Councilman .Patterson and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />PARCEL MAP 617 Tentative'Parcel Mdp 617, filed by <br /> Covington Brothers, creating two <br /> C 5 and B 1 parcels on the south <br />side of MacArthur Boulevard between Greenville and Fairview, was <br />approved subject to conditions in Planning Director' s report dated <br />June 25, 1969, on moti6n of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Council- <br />man Patterson and unaniniously carried. <br /> <br />SURPLUS BUILDING - SPR 19-69 After considering Surplus Property <br /> Report 19- 69 regarding re sidence <br /> at 1828 East Fruit Street, on motion <br />of CounciLman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Brooks and unanimously <br />carried, Council declared the building surplus and authorized demolition. <br /> <br />FEDERAL AID The City Council considered the <br /> report from the City Manager on <br /> Federal aid to cities, held over <br />from the. June 2nd Council meeting. After some discussion by Council, <br />it was moved by Councilman VilLa, seconded by Councilman~ Brook,si <br />to instruct the Staff to explore specific federal aid programs in greater <br />detail, particularly in the area (;f advance land acquisition, for park <br />sites, to determine if there are &vailable programs for Which we <br />qualify and which do not undul~r interfere with our freedom ~of action <br />to pursue those programs which most benefit all of our citizens.
