PUBLIC HEARINGS:~ (continued) <br />CARE CONVALESCENT AMBULANCE SERVICE <br /> <br />The motion resulted in a tie vote, as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Villa, Griset <br />Brooks, Evans, Markel <br />Patterson <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Herrin, a <br />Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity was granted to <br />Schaefer's Ambulance Service to operate two additional ambulances <br />within the City of Santa Ana, upon a finding in accordance with the <br />provisions of Municipal Code Section 6381.3 that applicant is fit, <br />willing and able to perform such public service and to conform to the <br />provisions of the Municipal Code and the rules and safety standards <br />established by the City, based on due consideration by the Council of <br />the applicant's character, experience, and responsibility; and that <br />there is a need for such additional ambulance service within the City,. <br />on the following roll call vote! <br /> <br /> AYES: " Herrin, Brooks, Evans, Villa, Griset <br /> NOES: Markel <br /> ABSENT: Patterson <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Herrin~ a <br />Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity was granted to <br />Southland Ambulance Service to operate one ambulance within <br />the City of Santa Ana, upon a finding in accordance with the provisions <br />of Municipal Code Section 6381.3 that applicant is fit, willing and <br />able to perform such public service and to conform to the provisions <br />of the Municipal Code and the rules and safety standards established <br />by the City, based on due consideration by the Council of the applicant's <br />character, experience, and responsibility; and that there is a need for <br />such additional ambulance service within the City, on the following roll <br />call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Evans, Villa, Griset <br />Markel <br />Patterson <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Villa, seconded by Councilman Herrin, the <br />hearing on the Application for Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity for Care Convalescent Ambulance Service was reopene'd' and <br />continued to the September 15 Council meeting, on the following roll <br /> <br />call vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: <br /> NOES: <br /> ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Villa, Griset <br />Brooks; Markel <br />Patterson <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />Council members present <br /> <br />At 9:10 P.M., atenminute recess <br />was declared.
