SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS Mayor Griset presented trophies <br /> to the Captain of the Santa Ana <br /> Soccer Club and to the Captain of <br />the Santa Aha Olympic Soccer Club in honor of these teams' winning the <br />State League Championships, and introduced the members of the teams. <br />Councilman Villa was commended by the Council for donating the trophies. <br /> <br />Mrs. Betty Garvin, President of the Orange County Chapter of C.A.N.H.C., <br />thanked the City Council for allowing them to have a booth at the Centennial <br />Fiesta and presented Mayor Griset with a trophy to the Council from her <br />organization, explaining that its purpose was to help handicapped children <br />by giving them scholarships. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />AMENDMENT APPLICATION 650 Application 650, filed by Fred Lewis, <br />LEWIS proposing amendment of Sectional <br /> District Map 8-5-9, to reclassify <br />property on the north side of First Street between Tustin and Mabury from <br />the R 1 District to the C 1 and LP Districts. There being no response to <br />the call for testimony, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Markel and <br />unanimously carried, Amendment Application 650 was approved and the <br />City Attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance to reclasslfy the <br />property according to Exhibit A. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br />NON-CONFORlViING JUNK AND <br />AUTO SALVAGE YARDS <br /> <br />Hearing was opened on proposed <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordi- <br />nance, amending Section 9260, <br />Non-conforming Buildings and <br />Uses, by adding Section 9260.9 <br />regarding upgrading the development standards of the legal but non- <br />conforming junk and auto salvage yards located in the City. There being <br />no response to the call for testimony, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Councilman Patterson, <br />the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment was approved and the City <br />Attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance to amend Section 9260 <br />of the Zoning Ordinance by adding Section 9260.9 regarding non-conform- <br />ing junk and auto salvage yards, on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Brooks, Evans, Markel, Patterson, Villa, <br />Griset <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />RES. 69-164 RESOLUTION 69-164 AMENDING <br />CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATIONS SECTION 3 OF RESOLUTION NO. <br /> 58-281 BY CONSOLIDATING THE <br />TWO CLASSES OF' JANITOR II AND CUSTODIAN INTO THE SINGLE <br />CLASS OF CUSTODIAN II AND BY CHANGING THE CLASS TITLE OF <br />JANITOR I TO CUSTODIAN I was adopted, on motion of Councilman <br />Patterson, seconded by Councilman Villa and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />-378- <br /> <br />November 3, 1~969 <br /> <br /> <br />
