.

Mr. Dan Bott
City of Santa Ana
March 29, 2004
Page 2

5. In general, it is recommended that the project's construction not be scheduled during the busy
summer/tourist season, and that the rainy season (October 1 "-April 30th) be considered and
provisions be made so there is little interference of construction traffic with the nonnal
commuter traffic flow on the highway. Peak commute hours include:
. 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.;
. 11 :00 a.m. to 1 :00 p.m.; and,
. 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We appreciate your cooperation in doing your share in ensuring that the traffic circulation on the
local and state highway is not degraded during and after project construction. Please continue to
keep us infonned of any future developments, which could potentially impact the transportation
facilities. If you have any questions or need to contact us, please do not hesitate to call Becky
Shumway at (949) 440-4461.

Sincerely,

~OBER F.
