PUBLIC HEARING A.A. 655 - SCHILDMEYER (continued) The hearing was closed. After discussion by Council, on motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Markel, Amendment Application 655 was denied,' on the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: A BSE NT: Herrin, Evans, Markel, Patterson, Yamamoto Villa Griset PUBLIC HEARING Hearing was opened on Amendment A.A. 656 - SCHILDMEYER Application No. 656, filed by Marie R. Schildmeyer, proposing amend- ment of Sectional District Map 6-5-9, to rezone from the A 1 District to the C 5 District property located on the east side of Glassetl Avenue between Santa Clara Avenue and Fairhaven Avenue. Frank Bueche, 1971 S. Ritchey Street, spoke in favor of the amendment application, No one spoke in opposition. The hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Markel, Amendment Application 656 was approved and the City Attorney was instruct- ed to prepare an ordinance to reclassify the property according to Exhibit A, on the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Herrin, Evans, Markel, None Griset Patterson, Villa, Yamamoto Mayor Griset returned to the Council table. RECESS present. At 9:30 P,M., a five minute recess was declared. The Council reconvened at 9:45 P.M., with all Council members PUBLIC HEARING - APPEAL 232 Hearing was opened on Appeal 232, filed CUP 70-2 - LIGHTFOOT by Oliver Peterson, appealing the Zoning Administrator's approval of CUP 70-2 filed by Jack L. Lightfoot. to construct and operate a riding stable with monthly horse shows in the A 1 District at 4726 1/2 West Fifth Street. The following persons spoke in favor of the appeal: Arthur J. Bilava, 1571 W. Katella, Anaheim, representing the appellant, who stated that if the conditional use permit were granted~ the horse shows would cause traffic problems, sanitation problems, dust, and noise; that it would be detrimental to the CITY COUNCIL -111- April 20, 1970
