PUBLIC HEARING <br />A.A. 655 - SCHILDMEYER (continued) <br /> <br />The hearing was closed. <br /> <br />After discussion by Council, on motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded <br />by Councilman Markel, Amendment Application 655 was denied,' on the <br />following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />A BSE NT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Markel, Patterson, Yamamoto <br />Villa <br />Griset <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />A.A. 656 - SCHILDMEYER Application No. 656, filed by Marie <br /> R. Schildmeyer, proposing amend- <br />ment of Sectional District Map 6-5-9, to rezone from the A 1 District to <br />the C 5 District property located on the east side of Glassetl Avenue between <br />Santa Clara Avenue and Fairhaven Avenue. Frank Bueche, 1971 S. Ritchey <br />Street, spoke in favor of the amendment application, No one spoke in <br />opposition. The hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Markel, <br />Amendment Application 656 was approved and the City Attorney was instruct- <br />ed to prepare an ordinance to reclassify the property according to Exhibit A, <br />on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Markel, <br />None <br />Griset <br /> <br />Patterson, Villa, Yamamoto <br /> <br />Mayor Griset returned to the Council table. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />present. <br /> <br />At 9:30 P,M., a five minute recess <br />was declared. The Council reconvened <br />at 9:45 P.M., with all Council members <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPEAL 232 Hearing was opened on Appeal 232, filed <br />CUP 70-2 - LIGHTFOOT by Oliver Peterson, appealing the <br /> Zoning Administrator's approval of <br />CUP 70-2 filed by Jack L. Lightfoot. to construct and operate a riding stable <br />with monthly horse shows in the A 1 District at 4726 1/2 West Fifth Street. <br /> <br />The following persons spoke in favor of the appeal: <br /> <br />Arthur J. Bilava, 1571 W. Katella, Anaheim, representing the <br />appellant, who stated that if the conditional use permit were <br />granted~ the horse shows would cause traffic problems, sanitation <br />problems, dust, and noise; that it would be detrimental to the <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL -111- April 20, 1970 <br /> <br /> <br />
