ORDINANCE NS-1012 AMENDING THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE BY <br />REPEALING AND RE-ENACTING SECTIONS 8-40, 8-41 AND 8-49. THEREOF <br />RELATING TO THE CREATION OF AND BOUNDARIES OF FIRE ZONES was <br />passed to second reading, on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by <br />Councilman Patterson, on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Markel, Patterson, Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br />None <br /> None <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Hearing was opened on establishment <br />S. P. S.A. #38 - ALTON AVENUE of specific street alignment for Alton <br /> Avenue from Main Street to Halladay <br />Street, a distance of 2,500 feet, S.P.S.A. No. 38. There being no response <br />to the call for testimony, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, the <br />City Council approved the recommendation of the Planning Commission and <br />instructed the City Attorney to prepare the amending ordinance, designating <br />alignment of Alton Avenue from Main Street to Halladay Street, a distance of <br />2, 500 feet, as shown in S/P. S.A. No. $8~ on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Herrin, Evans, Markel, Patterson, <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Hearing was opened on Amendment <br />A.A. 854 - PLANNING COMMISSION Application No. 654, initiated by the <br /> Planning Commission, pi'oposing <br />amendment of Sectional District Map 18-5-9 by reclassifying from the R 2, R 3 <br />and R SB Districts to the R SH and R SH-B Distric ts all residenti~.tly-zoned <br />properties located from the north side of V~alnut Street through the south side of <br />Chestnut Avenue from Main Street to Standard Avenue. There being no response <br />to the call for testimony, the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Markel, Amendment <br />Application No. 654 was approved and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare <br />an ordinance to reclassify the property according to Exhibit A, on the following <br />roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Herrin, Evans, Markel, Patterson, Villa, Yamamoto, Griset <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Due to a conflict of interest on the following two items, Mayor Griset left the <br />Council Chambers. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL -109- April 20, 1970 <br /> <br /> <br />
