VARIANCE APPLICATION 70-23 - (Continued) <br /> <br />The Planning Director explained the definitions of apartments and of motels <br />as set out in the Code, stating that if this development were compared to <br />apartment house standards, it would be deficient, and that staff recommended <br />denial because the development seemed to be a sub-standard apartment in <br />view of the number of kitchen units proposed; however, the Planning Commission <br />had recommended approval. <br /> <br />After discussion, on motion of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman <br />Evans and unanimously carried, Variance Application 70-23 was set for public <br />hearing on July 6, 1970, at 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall <br />Annex, 500 West Sixth Street. <br /> <br />VARIANCE APPLICATION 70-25 On motion of Councilman Patterson, <br />WARLEN COMPANY seconded by Councilman Evans and <br /> unanimously carried, Council adopted <br />the findings of fact, conclusion and decision of the Planning Commission as <br />action of the City Council on the following: <br /> <br />VA 70-25, WARLEN COMPANY - construct 18 fourplexes on <br />property in the R 2 District at 4001 W.
